Issue resolved
Trying Comexim's 3HC in 65J and 70J helped with the cup height issue. I also realized I fluctuate between needing a 65K/70J in the 3HC & needing a 65J/70HH depending on where I am in my cycle. An overlapping/narrowed gore helps resolve the "gore on breast tissue" problem. And when I am bloated, switching to a 70 band or using an extender on my 65s helps maintain the shape of the cups.
Original problem
I ordered this bra with reduced cups, and it's still too tall.
Also got a lowered gore, but the gore still sits on breast tissue. That's an issue I have in nearly all bras. In Anna Pardal, I found that the gore didn't sit on breast tissue *as much* in a 30GG as it did in a 30G.
I "reverse swoop and scooped" for these photos-- otherwise the inner edge of the cups cuts into breast tissue. Because the apex of the cups are about .5"-1" above my nipples, I'm not sure that I need a bigger cup, I think it might just be because I have a lot of center fullness. But my boobs feel sorta smooshed to my chest rather than secure. Like the room isn't where my boobs need it.
The other odd thing about the apex of the cups is that it's at least a good inch more to my sides, and my nipples are much more front and center than that.

helpfulThis is why I personally don't bother with deep plunges of any brand anymore. Most serious plunges made nowadays are designed to push the breasts towards the center to give the illusion of great center fullness on a person with average or less middle fullness. So if you already HAVE crazy inner fullness, it's overkill, and there will be quadding, overspill, or in the case of extra firm or augmented boobs, you'll just look weirdly uncontained at the center.
I'm old as dirt, so I miss the days when plunge bras were just made to accommodate a plunging neckline, and were not designed to shove everything to the middle.

helpfulThis sounds a bit like what I have with my Coffee Flower bra. The apex is a bit higher up in the cup than my nipple is, so I have to arrange myself a bit to fit in. It's softened up a bit since I got it, but it was very stiff when it was new and the issue was more obvious. I also need a lot of room for centre fullness.
It seems like some of the Comexim plunges have got this subtle difference in shape that makes them not quite right for shapes like yours and mine. My Abracadabra longline does it too. I'm not sure what alterations you could ask for to rectify this, to be honest - it seems like it's caused by shallowness at the centre and also by the way the cup's cut. For the cup height, you might just need to specify that you need it to be X inches lower than a standard 65K? Maybe you could try asking Comexim for overlapping wires in the centre too - I know AP did this, but have no idea if Comexim does. That might 'turn' the cups in a similar way to taking in the gore on a bra and give you a little more centre room. I'm not completely sure though, I've always ordered mine unaltered.

That'd be great! I've never quite been game to try one, I'm worried it'd be too shallow.

helpfulI have the same issues. Going up a band size helped a slight bit as the cups were not pulled as far back. It looks like the cups are maybe too big for your shape. Do you get gaping?

I get slight gaping at the apex of the cups with an extender, but nowhere else. The plunge line doesn't cut as badly, but still does a bit.

helpfulHiya, try the full cup Mimi Holliday comfort bras (unpadded lace). You won't be squashed in these, or have any digging in with the wires, and theres good stretch with the band.
Fray bras give a good side support and cup support
Good luck

Repeatedly, I've had Comexin two-seam half cups recommended. However, I won't have one for a few more weeks. I'll let you know...
