Bra fitting help » Gapping at the top, wide wires.
Comexim » Arabella Half Cup (326) » 65H 30:8
Issue resolved
I'm gonna sell this bra and next time I will get a Plunge bra with reduced cups and moved in straps.
Original problem
So at first this bra fits perfectly but when I move around a little it gaps at the top, the wires are also too wide and the band too big.
From the pictures you can see that when I stand up straight it fits nicely but when I slouch there's a big gap.
I'm gonna sell this one and get a new Comexim bra, my question is what size should I take?
I'm interested in the Birgitte and Queen of Hearts, both of which are plunges whilst this is a half-cup. I want to size down in the band, so should I take a 60H or 60HH? Also what kind of alterations should I ask for?

helpfulHmmm.. So to me this looks like it might just be too big overall. If it's gaping at the top and has too wide of wires, I would go down a size. The straps will be less wideset in a smaller band size and the cups will be slightly shorter do to scaling (and going down a cup size). So if you reorder, I would choose 60H. lcl0706 can tell you a little bit more about the half-cup construction and sizing because she now has two (and also owns Brigitte This is the single seamed half cup, right? If you like the half cup construction, you are able to order any of Comexim's bras as a half-cup.

helpfulI think 'moved in straps' would be suitable for you. Because when I got the gap, the option worked for me. And if you take the option, you may feel the cup size smaller. So, in my opinion, you need 60hh with moved in strap and cookie pocket option in case of need.

helpfulThis fits you similarly to how my Sonia did in a 60J, and I sized down for my Victoria to a 60HH. I also wear Brigitte in a 60HH - some people need to size up one cup for Comexim's HC styles but I've found I do not. So I would agree with petite and say go for a 60H. You might need to discuss with Comexim though, as AFAIK the Arabella is discontinued now. That's what Anna told me when I inquired about it.

I would leave the cup height alone. I think going down a cup size will be enough to solve the gapping problems.

lcl0706 Would lowering the cups be harmful for the fit? I wanted to have that customization because I've read that they're really full coverage and I wear mostly tank tops.

It will make the bra fit smaller, like it reduces the overall cup size by about half a cup. If you go down a size and reduce the cups I think it would make it too small. I don't find the plunges full coverage, but I also have no problems with any bra showing out of any shirt too. I have quite short roots and do no find the standard cup height too tall but I'm also very low set on my chest. So YMMV.

lcl0706 O boy, the decisions.. I either go for a 60HH with reduced cups or a 60H without reduced cups. Damn, bra shopping is hard ;)
lcl0706 PetiteCollegiate Thank you for the input, I was really confused because when I'd stand up straight it fit fine. Anyway, I don't really have a preference to half-cup or plunge because I haven't tried the plunge yet.
So I think my next order will be the Brigitte in 60H with lowered cups and straps moved in. Does that sound right?
