Bra fitting help » Wrinkling problem, extra fabric, cup too big??
Freya Swim » Adelphi Soft Triangle Bikini Top (3452) » 32D 32:4
Issue resolved
I tightened the straps and will add a stitch
Original problem
It wrinkles along the vertical seam. It stays in place when I first put it on, but then when I move the armpit fat get out of the top. the pattern is nice, I like it But I don't know if it is a too big cup issue that causes all that wrinkles, what do you think? I was thinking to make a stich somewherebecause when I pinch it, it lays flat.
For reference, I am a very shallow/tubular tall rooted Wide 30D (or so I thought)

helpfulI've tried that Freya Bikini cut myself, and I solved that problem by just tightening the neckholder strap.
Also, I tend to be more forgiving with the fit of my bikinis than I am with my bras, since I don't wear them for that long periods of time and it's always very difficult to find cute ones you like AND fit. (And the fit changes when the fabric gets wet, etc. etc.)There are two things about this particular design - a) runs tight in the band and b) runs 1 cup small in the cups. So, from that point of view, 32D is the perfectly correct size for you and I would not suggest to size down in any way. Telling from my own experience, it will probably lead to a *really* awkward fit and not improve anything.

helpfulWell, if you are a 30D and want to sister size, that would be a 32C, not 32D. Would help if there were more measurements tho - bratabase is a database. I'm a numbers gal!

Hello, I've put more measurements! let me know if I missed another one. If only it came in 32C, but I think the problem is solved :)

helpfulAgree with dbmamaz , if 30Ds have fit you right this 32D might be on the large side. On this case it seems only a teeny bit.
But as your pics show the problem is not very noticeable and I think that your solution to add a stitch might be more practical than a round trip to try to get a 30D (since this doesn't come in 32C).

The pattern helps a lot to mask all that wrinling! I Will add a couple of stitches somewhere near the top edges, now I just only need to develop some sewing skills hehe

Holy straps! doing the tightening totally worked for the right side and improve a lot the other one, it only wrinkles a bit though at the left side but I think adding some stitches would do the final trick.
I've read that freya soft cup bikinis were good for shallow breast so I read reviews about them, including yours! and then knowing that the band was tight I decided to give it a try in 32D, hoping for the best.
Now I feel good in this bikini top, thanks for the advice!
