helpfulDefinitely need the smaller band, you are on the last hook now and it is still too loose. For sure when you do that, you will need to go up one cup size possibly two. If you do the 38 you may need an extender for a while but I have found the Goddess bras loosen up a bit.

helpfulFirst it looks like a smaller band size will be better. If it is riding up in the back it is giving zero support through the band and through the cups and/or wires. From your measurements it looks like you might fit a 38 band.

helpfulIt really doesnt work for you. i keep thinking you would be a good candidate for the Ewa Michalak FB line. They are super expensive, but people in your size range seem pretty impressed with them

also, it took me a while to fully get this through my head. Often, when we are used to too-loose bands, we tighten the straps futher and further to get some support. But the band should be a lot lower on your back - the band should be at the same height at the back as it is in the front. and then you should only tighten the straps enough so they dont fall off. if that doesnt work, the bra doesnt fit.
I actually have just recently started focusing again on where my band sits. . . . such a habit to let it come up a bit higher.

Ok I have a question, this bra would be a closer fit to a 42j or a 38k, I know I should know this but I think I'm trying to think about it to much that I'm confusing myself. Thanks in advance for the help

if that band is really stretching to 45, its definitely more like a 42 than a 38 band. 42J yea
-
@42:12 would be a 42HH (UK), right?
-
Yes that's 42HH
-
Wish I could try the Ewa Michalak FB, but it does not come in my size. :( I am too small for FB!
-
I was comparing the depth to a random 42JJ . . but maybe i picked a bad one
-
You could try the SF in a 38HH or J . . . its a very similar build to the FB

helpfulWay too much cup volume! I thought so for the Tango but this really seals it. Go down a couple cups!!!
Also agree about a 38 band in Goddess. ALSO agree you should try ewa michalak FB cut if you can afford it.

helpfulI agree with the others. You can't really get a good fit or good support until you try some smaller bands.

I have noticed this too. I'm really a newbie here but one of the first things I learned was to get that band size right. Like many others, I had been wearing too big a band with too small a cup. For about 30 years. Went from 38/40 c/d to 32/34 e/f. Don't make my mistake! Get your band size down, get used to the feel of snugness at the right place in your back. Once you find that "sweet spot" where the band is supposed to sit, you will be amazed at how comfortable the snug fit feels. It will NOT feel as tight as it does now. Your band is riding up so high it likely feels tighter than it would in the right position. Hope that makes sense....

helpfulSince the band is too big, there's nothing to hold the gore against your chest.

Actually that's not what's causing it here. I know because I fit at a shop where this was our top seller. The wires are not super firm, and they are very tall at the center.
In this instance both the cup and the band are too big, but even in the right size, the gore sticking out (sometimes dramatically!) can happen if someone remotely close-set in this size range.

helpfulI am going to second the recommendation in going down a band size. The band is riding up to high. It should be level with the front. Also with this band size, it's not giving enough support.

helpfulI would also recommend a smaller band- and just try a long line bra like freya 'crush' or 'flourish' to give you better support.

Same here! The Ewa Michalak bra might work wonderfully!
