Bra fitting help » Fit check. Is this a bit small? The gore doesn't tack.
Comexim » Sonia Half Cup (406) » 60HH 28:9
Issue resolved
I will get a lowered gore next time in addition to the overlapping wires. But this one fits well despite the gore not tacking, so I will keep and wear it.
Original problem
My breast shape as far as I’ve figured it out: projected, narrow roots, close-set, center fullness, even to slightly FoT, rather low on chest. Bra alterations: overlapping wires at the center gore, 3x3 hooks.
So this bra looks absolutely perfect when I put it on! The cups fit perfectly, wires are perfect, the straps are fine. There seems to be some bubbling over the center gore, but this happens to me in all half cups really. The band felt very tight at first, but I think it’s really perfect for my 26" underbust. However, the gore doesn’t tack. It floats about 0.5-1 cm above a “V” shape formed by my breasts. A similar thing also occurs with my 60HH - Comexim » Ingrid Biustonosz (289) for example, although Ingrid fits slightly bigger. With Sonia, there is a decent amount of quadboob if i press the gore down, especially in my bigger left breast.
Is this a bit too small? I think someone said that it might be difficult to get Comexim’s soft wires to tack. I really like this bra and it feels comfortable, so I’d like to ignore the fit issue. But should I not?

helpfulI think this is a good fit, it's acceptable. The gore not tacking is one of those things... Comexim's wires are soft and you are close set. It may not ever tack. If it really bothers you, you can try to order this exact bra with a reduced gore. It may or may not tack. I don't think this is too small, the cup height and wire width looks perfect. I think you'd be drowning in a 60J.

I know Anna Pardal would overlap wires at the gore upon request, so I'm guessing you could get Comexim to do this if you ask... maybe post here asking how to say this in polish tho, there's some users who speak polish who are happy to help with translation.

Comexim will overlap the wires:
"Czy można uszyć [bra name] z fiszbinami nachodzącymi na siebie na mostku?"

wild_muses imabratinfluence This one actually has the overlapping wires. It's really the narrowest gore I have seen, but still not quite enough. Firmer wires usually tack, but they often also cut into my breast tissue.

I keep meaning to post pictures-- you can alter a bra yourself to overlap pretty much the entire gore. It works best with a band that's a bit too big, because it will eat up more of the band than you originally expect. Also, it will turn the cups and make them more open on top, so if you aren't pretty full on top that's something to be aware of.

Is the gore reduced also? And overlapping and reduced gore might be what you need.

wild_muses No it's not reduced. Yeah I think the combination would work quite nicely. :) I'll do that in the future! imabratinfluence That sounds very interesting! I may need to brush up on my sewing skills. I'll look forward to your pictures if you end up posting them!

helpfulHi i think that this bra fits you perfectly. The problem with the gore is only a minor one and i think it has more to do with the design not the fit. If the bra feels comfortable on with no pinching and wires pokeing you then i think you should ignore the fit issues. It is a pretty bra and looks good on you so good for you in finding a bra that fits so well.

Thank you! :) Yes I really like the bra and it's comfortable so I think I can ignore the gore!

I find this bra to be very 'soft' overall - band, elastic, cup material, etc. It makes it comfortable even without a grade-A perfect fit. It looks wonderful on you! Keep it and wear it!

Thank you for your comment berexxa ! :) I will!

lcl0706 Thank you for your comment! I don't think that the gore will bother me too much. My Ingrid and Geisha don't really tack and I just want to wear them every day because they are so soft. But I think that I will in the future get the reduced gore for all of my Comexims!
