Issue resolved
Many people gave me constructive suggestions and that really helped me a lot. I didn't have to share it on social media or anything! I'm really grateful to those who helped - I learnt a lot more about bras and my boobs just from this!
Original problem
I'm a 29D, but since most stores only carry 30C/32B I settle with those. This is an Aerie bra (Bridget Pushup), size 32B. I'm not sure if I have the 'quad boob effect' or whether it is just right or too small. It is a pushup though. Also, the underwires don't 'stick' to my body like it should. When I press it, there is space between my boob and the underwire. Is this bra too small or _____?

helpfulLooks like a too small cup with a too big band. I think the small cup would be more obvious if the band were tighter,

helpfulI'd say that based on the pictures, this is definitely too small. Not only are you spilling over the top of the cup but the underwires appear to be floating (especially in the straight on and the angled view pictures) as you mentioned. This means that they're likely sitting on breast tissue, so the bra is probably even smaller than the spillage indicates. If the 30 band is comfortable then there's no reason to size up to a 32. The band is visibly wrinkling so its definitely too big. The too big band and too small cup are the reason that your tissue is sliding down so that the underwire is resting on it.

helpfulNot only is this bra too small, but it might also be the wrong shape. Compared to the Sunnie, the Bridget was made for non-tall roots and has less space at the top parts of the cups. I think that sizing up to 30D and sticking to the Sunnie and the Sunnie Push-up will be better for you.

Thanks for letting me know that! I'm new to Aerie bras so this was enlightening! I'm definitely going to just settle for the Sunnies in 30D! What bras are good for tallish roots? 🙈

@tkhat
almost everything on my "fits" list of bras is good for tall roots :)

Saskia_C I'll take a look! Thank you! 😍

helpfulThis looks like the cup is too small and too shallow in shape. I'd recommend seeking out perhaps 28DDs or 30Ds, you can get lots of panache, cleo, freya, curvy kate etc on sale on amazon & ebay and returns are generally easy on both sites, and often free on amazon.

helpfulThe issues seem to be the same as in the 30C only worse because the band is too loose.

I agree with Saskia_C , I have the bridget, sunnie and sunnie pushup. I am shallow with wide and tallish roots and the sunnie fits much better than the bridget. I still wear the bridget but I find myself fussing with it throughout the day whereas I never think about the sunnie again after putting it on. Also The band on the sunnie stretches out quick (I measur 33" around and wear 32 in the sunnie) so even a 30 band may be too loose after a few weeks. Beware of the sunnie pushup, it runs extra shallow, you may need to size up in the cup on this one.
