Bra fitting help » Bra too tight in band with room in bottom of cup
Parfait By Affinitas » Louisa Wire Bra (4202) » 38FF 38:8
Issue resolved
Got ideas on other bras to try and see if they fit better.
Original problem
My breasts filled it well but had wrinkling/ extra space in the bottom of the cup. The band was snug and seemed to get tighter throughout the day.

helpfulThe wires are sitting below your imf, I think you need more projection. If the band measurements are accurate, it is 2 inches smaller than your tight measurement, and would run really small for a 38. Does it feel like the wires are becoming distorted?

helpfulThe wrinkling in the bottom of the cups indicates that there's not enough immediate projection (room at the wire). Some good models for immediate projection are Panache Georgia and Olivia and Cleo Della, as well as most Polish bras. Does this band really only stretch to 34? That is so tight! 38 should be fine for you in other brands.

If you want to continue with Parfait you may need to go up to a 40F then, but they're not known for being very projected so something like Panache may be worth a try.

I have actually been looking at a lot of panache bras. I noticed that my shape sets had panache as a good bra fit. This journey to a bra that actually fits nicely is quite overwhelming but I am glad I found this website a couple of days ago it is very helpful.

I have seen a number of good reviews for the panache sculptress line of bras you might try one of those .. I think the chi chi looks nice and projected comes in some nice colorways too .

helpfulI suspect this cup size is actually a bit larger than you need--it only appears to be a good fit because the overly tight band is pulling it very tight. I would put on an extender (not the kind with a bit of elastic in the middle of it, a nonstretch one with just hooks and eyes), scoop and swoop etc. and then reassess cup volume, projection and so on. The extra space at the bottom of the cup and on the sides in this case might be simply a symptom of a too-big cup being stretched round your body rather than a cup that is inherently too shallow. For someone with a 12.5-14" breast perimeter you don't strike me as being extraordinarily projected at all, so I think you actually do have some hope of finding a good fit even in bras that have only moderate projection--you just need to troubleshoot the size.

helpfulSeeing that the cups fit you fairly well in this size and the band being tight.my advice would be to go up a band size and down a cup size. It would be interesting to see what other people think. I found this article from bras and things that i hope helps.
Well, cup size is a measurement of how far your breasts project from your chest wall. Each cup size denotes a 1" increase in your body's circumference around your bust line. Knowing this fact can help you zero in on your correct bra size. For example, you try on a bra and the band feels comfortable, but your breasts are spilling out. Keep going up in cup sizes on the same band size until you find the bra that fits. Alternately, the cups fit great, but the band is too big. When you go down a band size, you now know that you need to go up a cup size to maintain the same underwire diameter and similar cup volume (Example: Go from a 40C to a 38D). - See more at: http://www.herroom.com/bra-cup-design-and-size-manufacturing,910,30.html#sthash.HXijqxs1.dpuf

I went through other people's measurements of the same bra since I thought I must be measuring wrong and the measurements seem correct when compared to the measurements others got from this brand.
