Bra fitting help » Best fit in a bra so far but band is a bit snug.
Cleo » Lucy Balconnet Bra (5851) » 36FF 36:8
Issue resolved
I wore an extender for a day and manipulated the wire and it fits glad I didn't return(almost did though)
Original problem
I remeasured and am trying to get the right bra. This bra is far better than the other two I have tried. I feel that maybe go up to 38 in the band because it's a bit snug but then worry it may not fit otherwise even if I go to an F. Any recommendations in solutions? Should I wear it for the day and see if the band stretches enough? I do really like it but think I may be able to get a better fit.

helpfulI'd suggest an extender so you can customize the length of the band. Cleo does run small, but if the 38 is too big you will be stuck. Be sure to get the kind of extender that is just two tabs of fabric with hooks and eyes--NOT the kind with a bit of elastic in the middle, those usually are not conducive to good fit!

Yes that's the kind you want. Brand is not important, just make sure the the number of hooks and especially the spacing of hooks matches the bra you need it for!

I wish Lucy fit me as well as it fits you! I tried this bra in every combination of band and cup and color, and it was a fail. Totally agree with the extender advice, I found with Cleo that getting the right band, I just couldn't get the cup fit I was getting with the tighter band. I'm a comfortable 34 but can bear a 32 with extender. I didn't need the extender after the initial break in.

Also if you go up a band size, you might possibly run into trouble with straps chafing your armpits. Found that out the hard way too.

helpfulyou should try to find an extender to see if that helps.

helpfulI think you should go up to 38. In the angle shot you can see you're quadding on one side too--it could be the too tight band dragging the whole bra down but if you still get quadding in a 38F (same volume) you should try a 38FF.

helpfulMy experience with the unlined Cleo bras (Lucy, Marcie, Lily) tells me that there is variation within each style based on colorway. Black, or dark colors in any of the unlined styles tend to have tighter bands than light colors in the same style. I first noticed this when I ordered a black Marcie and a beige Marcie. Cleo Lucy also comes in white, so maybe try that one and see if it is more comfortable.

helpfulCleo runs very tight as you can see by the stretched band measurement compared to your measurements. Go up to a 38 in this bra.
