Issue resolved
Pretty much fits me, but I may get an extender!
Original problem
Just got this bra...everything fits great but it's a bit tight and gives me back fat. Help?

helpful'back fat' is not a fit problem. Its a 'i'm a squishy human!' not-problem. Its ok to be soft.
OTOH, i do find Cleo bands to be very narrow, so they do dig in a little more than wider bands

helpfulIf it looks smooth under shirts, does not prevent you from taking a deep breath, doesn't hurt or annoy you during the day, it's actually fine. If it IS driving you nuts (due to physical discomfort) or hurting, a simple extender will fix that! Be sure to get the kind that just looks like the hook and eye section of a regular bra. Avoid the kind with a bit of elastic in the middle--those add way too much length and you lose support.
Have you scooped and swooped toward the center here? It looks like the top of the cups is not sitting quite right on you. If you've scooped and swooped this may be a hair too tall/big in the cups.

helpfulCan you adjust the bra so the back sits a little lower? Some bras naturally sit lower than others in the back. And I have a really short torso so I may have a skewed view of where the back band can sit. The color looks very nice on you.

I can! I still get a bit of fat in the back but I think that's just cuz i'm squishy tbh
EDIT: I can easily fit 2 fingers in the band...so I'm confused :(

My back looks a lot like yours but when I'm not in a bra. My ribs sit on my hips practically and it's just where they come together. I try to be zen about it but I'm not always successful. My ultra skinny mom has the same issue

And I'm 19 and in a school where there's a lot of fatshaming. Bleh. Oh well.

helpfulI personally don't use the "can fit 2 fingers under the band" thing as a rule. The most important thing is, do you feel comfortable? If you feel like it's just a smidgen too tight and that a 38 band would be too large, just get an extender and wear it for now. Bra bands eventually stretch out so in 6 months or so you might find that this band is perfect for you.

I feel comfortable and supported but idk if I'm supposed to be able to feel the band against my back.
EDIT: it looks smooth under shirts though so maybe it isn't too tight?

Yeah, I've actually worn it all day and it's feeling a lot better. It fits me well in the cup, it's just a very light lace on top and sort of flops up. I can easily push it down and it goes around me nicely, I think it's just the material. I don't think it's too tall...it barely covers my areolas :(
