Issue resolved
wrong shape and size for me
Original problem
The lace is loose and unnecessarily stretchy. Wrinkling in the bottom and nipples poking out in the lace after i swoop and scoop. Cups too high/tight in arm pit area.

helpfulThis looks deceptively good at first glance but I agree the cups are too deep. As I mentioned in your other thread, Cleo runs really tight and you could almost definitely handle a 34 band in this particular design IMO--look at the strain on the hooks in the back photo. Try 34E!

annii I think that the cups are too tall, and actually not projected enough at the bottom edges of the cups. I agree with trying a 34 band. It looks like your shape is short rooted and FOB so try the Cleo Lily/Erin which cater to short roots and the Cleo Lucy which cater to FOB shapes.

Saskia_C Okay thanks. in 34E?

annii I'm not sure whether 34E or 34F but definitely 34 bands for most Cleo bras. Also, I edited my comment to include Cleo Lucy.

I'm afraid it's a bit difficult for me with the dark fabrics to cast a vote on whether you have too much projection or too much height or both here but overall it just looks like there is more cup volume than you need :-) Sizing down by 1 volume should clarify whether this shape is good for you or not. I'm not familiar with the Hettie at all otherwise, perhaps others can say more.

helpfulif you look at cup depth at 10.2 inches and you perimeters all 8.something, the cup is too big.
And you cant say "I wear a 32 in this brand so i'm a 32 in all brands" - thats not how it works. The stretched measurement here is 31.5 and your comfortable ribcage is 32.7, so its too tight. Now, Cleos tend to stretch, so you could buy a 32 and an extender to wear until it stretches. but you need to go down a cup size. at least for this model.
you can look at various models and sizes here on bratabase and see what the cup depth is, to help figure out what size is most likely to fit in that model

i measured it really sloppily both my breast because i dont know exactly where it should start and stop, and the bra because its unlined but it seems like in this cup its the deepest in the top where the lace is which is weird
-
that would mean its for more full-on-top breasts than yours. Often that pointy look happens in a fot-style bra on not fot breasts. My boobs are super FOT - they mound up and cut in to the top of the bras all the time
-
i see! thank you im just getting started with looking for bras that fit.

helpfulI actually have this same bra in a 30FF (my measured size is a 28G but I find Cleo's 28 bands are often uncomfortably tight). I've been meaning to measure and review it but I kept forgetting. It fits me similarly to how it fits you, like it'll be perfect if I scoop & swoop and stand still, but once I move around I get the wrinkling in the top of the cup and the lace just flopping about. The only difference is that mine doesn't pinch under the arms or feel like it's coming up too high. I think the problem with this bra is that the top part of the cup is too open for even or FOB breasts--the bottom half of the cup fits perfectly once adjusted, but all that extra lace hanging around makes the bra as a whole seem too big if you aren't FOT. I had the same problem with the Cleo Minnie and tried going down a cup size, but that was actually worse. The underwire was pressing into breast tissue all around, there wasn't enough coverage, and I was quadding everywhere. Oh, and there was _still_ too much extra lace.
If you've got your heart set on Hettie (I did, which is the only reason I didn't return it), I would advise going up a band size and seeing if you can pull the extra lace back in towards the straps and just sew it in place to close off the top of the cup a little. I'm about to try that myself, so I'll let you know how it goes. Otherwise you may need to find an unlined bra that's better suited for FOB. I'm still looking for one of those, myself.

I really wish i was FOT sometimes because the cutest bras are suitable for that shape. :( I really love the style of this bra. Im gonna try your suggestion. Hope yours works out! and mine, lol

With the cups being too deep do you mean too tall or too projected?
And yeah i thought i needed 32 because i had only tried freya before this and it was way to big in 34 band.
