Bra fitting help » gore doesn't tack and slight quad boob
Comexim » Irish Coffee Plunge Bra (335) » 65K 30:11
Issue resolved
This style did not work for me.
Original problem
Is this a good fit? The band sits comfortably snug, although it slides down slightly.
1. Center gore doesn't tack at all. Floats a bit
2. There is a slight quad boob on my bigger side.
Should I go up a cup size to resolve both these issues?
Also, as a final note, here is the 70 band of the same bra here: http://www.bratabase.com/troubleshoot/di8oo/, is this fit better than that?

helpfulThere is no need for the 65 band, it's pulling so tight that you are getting cup distortion. 70 is plenty tight enough. I would size up one band size and one cup size!

helpfulAs far as the band goes, it does look like its pulling a lot at the hooks and eyes, but I don't see anything wonky happening with the cups so you can probably get away with either a 65 or 70 band since you said that the 70 band didn't ride up. It'll just come down to personal preference. Usually the band is riding down is an indication that a bra isn't projected enough for you. Based on the way that your left breast (or whichever one is on the left in the pictures) is sitting where it is kind of folding back on itself, I would say that this is probably the issue here.
For the gore, Comexim uses pretty soft wires so its entirely possible that you won't get a tack on their gores. I know that for me, the level of tack ranges from a soft tack (in plunges with overlapped and lowered gores) to basically no tack at all (in the halfcups). A gore that doesn't tack isn't necessarily a sign that the bra is too small, especially if its the only issue you're experiencing.
For the slight quadding, do you see it through a shirt? If not, I probably wouldn't go up a cup size. This bra is pretty closed off on top because of the ribbon, so if you have tall roots or a lot of upper fullness, that ribbon is going to cut in unless you're wearing a bra that's too big.
Personally I think that this size, or if you sister size up to a 70 band, will be the best fit that you'll get out of this bra. Just in general though, bra that is more projected and is a little more open on top will be a better technical fit for you.

What about this compared to the fit of the 70 makes you think there is cup distortion? The most common sign of cup distortion is a straining band near the wings, wider wires than usual and the gore not tacking. Now it looks like the vertical seam on the band is pretty straight, the wires on both cups are equally wide if you account for the difference in shoulder/arm position and the gores are both not tacking to the same degree. Am I missing something?
