Bra fitting help » Wrinkles in bottom of cups, but only towards the center.
Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) » 34FF 34:8
Issue resolved
Question answered - thank you wendybien! I will pay more attention to the shape of the gore and look for ones that are more triangular which will follow my own shape more closely. Also looking into plunge bras.
Original problem
Why do I get wrinkles only in the inside bottom of the cups and not the outside? My 34FF - Curvy Kate » Florence Balcony Bra (CK8001) does the same thing. The wires are outside of my imf at the inside lower portion of the cups but meet it at the bottom. Is that what causes the wrinkles?

helpfulIt's uncommon for someone's breast roots to be the exact same shape as the curve of the underwire, so this is pretty normal. If you feel supported and the breast isn't "sloshing" around in a too-loose cup, I'd call it a fit. If you do feel like it's not as secure a fit as you would like, you might try a size down, but I don't know if that would maintain the necessary width.

I definitely would not settle for "fairly" comfortable. Your size range is pretty well-served with full-bust brands so there is no reason not to want all your bras to be very comfortable all day long!

I'm not entirely sure if you mean that your breasts are wider-set than the cups are, so your breasts dont reach all the way to the wires at the gore?
Or the more common issue, which is that envy is slightly shallow at the bottom (at least in larger cups). this can make your breast push teh bra down slightly, because your breast is not shallow enough to fill the bottom of the cup.
Or it could even be that your breasts are wider than the wires, so it pushes it downwards.
Hmm.
Looked at your Florence - easier to see with those more see-through cups. really looks like your breasts are further-set than the bra is.
Hope someone more helpful comes!! But I"m thinking you should look at the cup separation measurement and look for bras with a wider gore

Thanks dbmamaz. The only thing is, my boobs are close together at the top.If you look at the CK again, you see that the gore meets my breasts at the top. I guess I could try plunge styles, but I'm very confused about what depth measurement I should look for in a plunge.

Thanks wendybien. It feels quite supportive and fairly comfortable, but I'm being super picky with how I spend my money right now and I've decided not to settle for this one. Going to keep looking and slowly build up a wardrobe of 7 or 8 bras that I really like and that fit well.
