Bra fitting help » Any recommendations for FOB and projected, ladies?

Issue resolved
I now know what I should be looking for in a bra
Original problem
Not a bad fit. Worn on tightest hook as it was so cheap to buy.
I know I am definitely FOB and projected I don't have a clue about roots -think I am slightly tall-wide or narrow , high set or low amd all that jazz!
I know the gore isn't really tacking but I don't really get a tack.
So can any of you absolute angels recommend me a bra? Should say that I'm a 24/26 band so I'll need something snugly made.

helpfulOh we are nearly measurement twins! Are you looking for unpadded bras? That is quite hard in our size range. The only unpadded that fit me really well is Cleo Marcie, sadly it isn´t available under 28E. I got mine in 30D and altered it. Cleo Lucy works also but not as good as Marcie. Cleo Juna works well for me too, and Panache Black Ardour, those are padded bras.
I also think 30C is too small for you, you should try 28DD/28E I think.
Ewa Michalak and Comexim fit me really well too, they are worth a try too, but it is somewhat harder to determine your size in.Updated on August 12, 2016 Flag this

Ah nice! English is fine though:) 28DD is what I wear mostly too, but even that is more and more hard to get. If you can get your hands on a Cleo Marcie in 30D, try it. It will be a bit too wide in the band, but it is worth a try. I am used to being forced to get the bands altered by now. But Ewa Michalak or Comexim are a good alternative. The M cut from Ewa is really good and available in 28 Bands as a normal size. With Comexim, 60 Bands are custom order sadly.

Yeah, I just felt like telling you for no reason!

Depending on how much upper volume you have Cleo Maddie might fit, if you don´t have much upper volume Cleo Lexi might be better, or Cleo Riley.

Like Denise5 said, Cleo Juna is quite wide for a 28, but that will be the case with most bras that you will find. I think it is more important to find fitting Cups, a band can be shortened. Especially unpadded bras often start at 28E or 28F, so you have to resort to 30D. Even with Ewa and Comexim 60 Bands are custom order, with the exception of Ewa´s M cut.

helpfulI recommend Ewa Michalak. Personally, I found getting the smaller (or correct) band length makes a huge difference in the bra fit. Their bands are a bit tight so you may want to double check on bratabase for the stretched band length though a 26" (maybe on an extender at first) will fit or 28", all depending on how you like your band to fit. Their bras are good for people with small frames and projection. You can experiment with wide or narrow wire widths to see if you are wide or narrow in your roots. If you read the Petite Collegiate's blog http://thepetitecollegiate.com , I found it really helpful. You can check out my bra fits too if you want but I am just a novice at this stuff. All the best!

helpfulIt's honestly hard to find projected bras in 30C. Freya Arabella/Ooh La La/Siren/Vixen are great for projected and FOB but alas, they don't come in 30C. Fortnight's longline bras come in 30C and have somewhat more projection than most 30C bras. If your shape is very projected it won't work though cause it works more for people with average projection.
I normally only recommend Polish brands (EM, Comexim) to people whose cup letter is in the GG+ or H+ range but since your shape is relatively rare in your size range, try looking through reviews for projected, FOB, and narrow wired bras in 30C by those brands.

helpfulFrom the third picture you look neither FoB nor projected - I could be wrong though. I think you should try 28 bands first - 26 is only available in Polish brands and 24 will probably be a bit too tight.

Yeah, I usually wear 28 bands. I have another thread, care to have a look at it.
-
I don't see any pictures in the other threads, is that intentional?
-
No ,look on my profile.
-
Which one? Did you not check the box with "make pictures visible next to information" in your picture management of the bra?
-
I have.

helpfulI'd suggest Cleo Marcy and Lucy in a 28DD and 28E based upon your measurements. Then if you post fit checks of those we can help determine your shape to recommend other styles. Cleo bands run snug.

helpfulBy the way, I have tried on two Cleo Junas and I don't recommend them for your ribcage size and shape. The band is very stretchy and feels loose to me so the 28" will definitely be too big for you. I had to take my 28" band in and my ribcage is bigger than yours. It is also better for those with even fullness or some top fullness and more shallow. The gore bothers me too because I am close set but you look even more close set than me. If you are full on bottom, close set and projected, I don't recommend it...not to say it absolutely won't fit....I just wouldn't start there, personally. I recommend trying a plunge or PL style of Ewa Michalak. If your boobs are close set, the plunge may work well. The CHPs and BMs' gore may come up too high for you. Just my two cents and not in disrespect to any other opinions. Just based on my experience and my perspective.

helpfulBetter photos would help - one directly from the front with you standing (no bra fits properly with you lying down), one 3/4 angle shot from both sides taken just above nipple height, looking across the top of the breasts, arm back not up so we can see the wires and across the top of both breasts. And a little more light to help the grainy quality, detail matters . Then a last one, if you like, looking down at the gore to confirm if it tacks, but you can tell us that too.
It's easy to say this is too projected until we realise you're lying down. M&S and Boux Avenue are a little tricky as they have no fixed styles like the big cup brands do. In cup push up padding distort fits too (looking at your other fits). 30C is almost always going to be too big in the band for you, so the cups just aren't pulled in closely enough.
