Issue resolved
Going to look for a higher band size and smaller cups next time.
Original problem
Bra tacks well, but is a bit too tight in the band and has wrinkling at the top and an inch or more between the wire and my IMF at the bottom. I think the wires are too wide as well. It feels supportive, but my breasts are being held by the fabric, not the wires. I'm new to this, can you help me figure out my shape and suggest what to try next?

helpfulThe cup is considerably too large for you. The fact that the band is overly tight is somewhat disguising this fact, but there is wayyy too much fabric here. If you want to persist with this particular bra, it's worth a shot, but you'll want to go up in the band and down at least one cup volume, taking you to a 38FF.

Yes, I meant 2, not 1, sorry!
38G would be one cup size down since 38GG would be the sister size of 36H. However a 38FF might work because as you mentioned the cups do look way too big.
