Ordering a variety of sizes in Kali...
Original problem
This is a bit wider, taller, deeper, and smaller banded than the 32DD Kali in which I felt like an overstuffed sausage. However, this fits worse in that there is room for another boob in the tops of the cups. larabloom

helpfulThis one is too big by 1 or 2 cup sizes. Try a 30E/F instead.
Speaking from my own bra fitting experience, I would always give the following advice to a bra fitting beginner: Order the same bra in several different sizes to start with (use your estimated size and 1 cup +/-, and optionally also try different band sizes if that's possible). Do not order one bra in size X and another bra in size Y. Interpolating just won't work.
All bras fit differently, vary in sizing, and trying on different bra models *and* different sizes will never allow you to rule out whether you are having size issues (and another size of the very same bra might fit you perfectly), or whether the cut just doesn't work for you (in that case, no size will fit you correctly, and you have to look for another cut).
I know ordering so many bras at once seems scary and might be expensive, but it will give you a much better picture of what you need (and you can return those who don't fit).Updated on December 3, 2015 Flag this

FoodForest I just found your fitting request of the Kali. It doesn't look like the size is too far off - I'd compare a 32DD and 32E and see which one you like better. Kali also runs tight - so you might need a 34DD depending on the colorway.
Feeling restricted in a bra is often the result of wires that are too narrow. Compare the shape of the wires on your skin when wearing the bra to the shape your breast root. All breast tissue should be comfortably inside the cup. No wire should sit on breast tissue.
To get wider wires, either size up in the cup, or - if sizing up gives you a bra that's too large/deep - look for bras that have wider wires and less cup depth.
Some people need wide wires even if they're not shallow.Good luck with your search :)

Yesterday, I unpacked the Kali (it was ready for return) and fastened the band upside down and backwards: plenty of room. So, I'm leaning toward 32E and 30F. The wires will be just slightly wider and the wings .5" or so higher which may help encapsulate more tissue. If you have a recommendation for which I should try first, please share. :-) I SO hope the subtle changes in wire length and wing height will be just what I require. I'm very grateful for Amazon's return policy!!

bracrastination I read your 32DD Marcie review: you provided compelling reason to try the 32E rather than the 30F first. Thanks :-)

bracrastination, you are right: some people do need wide wires that aren't shallow. Finally, I understand I'm not narrow rooted. Thanks!

Yes! Wide roots and shallowness are somewhat related, but not for everyone! Some people need projected cups *and* wide wires. Also sorry, I lost track of this issue! Great to hear my ramblings were helpful i a way :)
I'm headed back to Cleo Kali and will order a few sizes. :-)
