Issue resolved
Possible cup too large or shape miss-match
Original problem
Everything is OK with this except for wrinkling in the cups. This is the best fitting bra I have. Are the cups too large? I seem to fill them out on the sides but they wrinkle in the center, especially on my smaller breast. I like the fit (issues aside) and shape this gives me. I didn't think a soft cup would be this flattering on me, I think this type suites my shape best.

helpfulNow that I have seen this bra's photos and the photos of the Masquerade bra that was too shallow for you, I'm thinking that you might have average projection, that is to say, neither shallow nor projected. In your size range the Cleo Lucy fits the bill...average projection and great for FOB shapes.

helpfulI do think its too big. The cup volume is bigger than your breast perimeter (tho you only listed 2 perimeter), and in a plunge esp, that makes no sense. You may also be more wide-set than the bra expects, if you fill the outside better than the inside

The gore starts right where my breast tissue does so I don't think it's a width issue. I do have more fullness on the outside and bottom than the center and top. I agree, the cups seem too big. After ordering this I read somewhere it runs large in the cups.

helpfulI was recently fitted at Bravissimo and advised to size down a cup in Freya from what I take in Panache and Cleo, and I found this to be useful advice. The cups look a tad large to me in your photos. It might be worth trying a 28D in this, just to compare.
I agree that Lucy would be a good option for you (although note - I've had three, and all three fit a bit differently), and if you're ok with a higher gore, you might try Juna as well.

helpfulThis cup looks a bit tall for you. All your projection is lower down on the torso. This is also a size range where the small natural variation in size between the two breasts can cause this kind of issue, meaning this size fits your larger breast. I suspect the 28D could be a tight squeeze on your larger side, but you can always try it.

I see what you mean about the tall cups. If I'm reclining or leaning back they don't look too tall like how it does when I'm standing. I don't know if this is normal or if I have soft tissue.
I'll try a 28D, and maybe a different freya. Thank you :)

helpfulDo you think the Freya Totally Tartan Underwired Padded Longline would work better for me? I'm guessing I would need it in a 28D. Would it be projected enough for me? The cups are shorter and it's more open on the top. I was also looking at the freya patsy plunge and think that might be a good match as well. I don't have much projection/breast tissue on the top and center, so I can see now why this might be a more style miss match than anything. Thoughts?

I think a lot of people in our size range have had problems with the Freya Patsy Plunge Balcony Bra (1221). I have nearly bought that bra sooooo many times because the print is so cute but the photos and reviews are holding me back. Some people report it being closed on top, cut with super deep cups, or causing an appearance of a weird breast shape. If you do get one, I am dying to know how it works out.

I'll do some research on it, I'll be sure to make a review if I do get it.

Awesome thank you! :)
