Issue resolved
I'm wearing a big band and cup. Was suggested one cup smaller and band
Original problem
Please help me figure out what is wrong with this bra. When i put it on in the morning and adjust myself and do the scoop and swoop method it looks slightly better. But dang nabbit if i dont readjust an hour or 2 after, they look so lifeless, sad and droopy. Is the cup too big? Is the band too big or fine? And why do they point like that? Why are they not lifted and supported. I have this urge to tighten the straps but that is the shortest they will go. One other thing which is mostly curiosity, am I bottom heavy? I always thought I was full on top since I have no side boob and I have all my fullness towards the middle. Please I'm at the end of the line. I swear with each bra I get and miserable fail when on. I literally throw myself face first on to my bed and hate my body that much more. Some side notes. I'm soft, pendulous, narrow root, not sure if fob or fot. Center full and splayed. With relative projection. Any help at this point will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

helpfulI so want to help you because I COMPLETELY understand what you are going through, because I'm in the same boat of repeated bra failures and increased body loathing. Sometimes I have to mentally step back and think about why I want to find a good fitting bra...that understanding the shape and size of my breasts is actually a way of honoring and loving them. They deserve the attention. I have to consciously shift my energy into those thoughts...and I can't sustain it more than a few moments, but I do find it helpful. I have spent 20 years hating on my poor deflated boobs. Focusing on finding the right bra means spending an awful lot of time focused on this body part some of us have such major issues with to begin with. My strongest advice is to be extra kind to yourself on the bra fitting journey.
Can you make the bras you have tried so far, view-able to Bratabase members? I think that will help give people important information and guide suggestions. (When I tried to look, it said you have chosen not to share that info).
I'm not nearly as experienced as most of the people here, but I have recently discovered that I'm really wide set and I do better with wider gores. From doing fit stuff on the HerRoom website, I learned that I should be looking for wider, shorter triangles between cups. Picture #6 makes me think that may be a part of what's going on for you with the Jasmine. It seems you may need a wider gore and narrower wires/cups (I think....though I'm still trying to understand wire width.)

helpfulI think that you should look for a tighter band, look for either a tighter 32 or a 30, If you feel that you need to shorten the straps is because the back keeps riding up making you feel that the front is giving in.
Additionally, this fit may make the weight of your boobs dig down from lack of support making the underwires dig in in your ribcage leaving you with red marks under the Inframammary fold or maybe even make the underwire not be flush against it.
You mention you have narrow roots, so this bra seems to be not very narrow which will make your boobs spread a bit to the side of the cup if this isn't painful or doesn't bother you that's fine, but you may want to experiment with narrower cups.
About the pointy shape, this is juts how this bra is for most people: http://www.bratabase.com/browse/panache/jasmine-balconnet-bra-6951/pictures/all/?show_only=3
Maybe you want to try bras with sturdier cups, maybe vertical seams that will give you a more round/uplifted look.About the cup size, if you have someone to help you. Try pulling your band tight and down, as if it was not riding up - properly fitting. Then see how do the cups fit. Fit can be distorted by a sagging band.

helpfulIn a nutshell I'd say the cup is a hair too big and the band is as well--by the numbers, you could theoretically wear either a 30 or a 32 but due to the weight of your boobs you are likely to prefer 30 bands sometimes (was this a new bra or had it been worn a bit before you got it? it might be a bit stretched out).

I just got this bra last week. If it stretched out already, this makes me question the quality of the bra.
-
Oh and it was bran new, never worn before.
-
Well, most bands are meant stretch a bit--it would be abnormal if they didn't. What you are seeing is simply that in this particular bra, you need a smaller band. You look to have a small ribcage to begin with and the heavier the breasts, the more a snug band is important to keep the whole bra anchored in place--otherwise you get the weight of the breasts pulling down at the front and this drags the band upwards at the back.
How does it feel when you put it on a tighter setting, 1 or 2 rows of hooks in?
-
The last hook feels the best but I currently have it on the middle hook. Since the 1st hook is doing nothing for me. But u literally have explained everything so well that I see the problem now. Do u think th cup might be too big aswell? Or is it just the band.
-
Yes I do think the cup looks big on you. You could reassess cup fit if you wanted by putting the band on the tightest hook--do NOT overtighten straps, just get the band snug. If it looks and feels great then you know this cup volume is fine. If it still looks downward-pointing, overly angular and with a bit of empty space at the top then you will know you need to go down by 1 cup volume.

U have no idea how much I appreciate this. I truly do thank u.

helpfuli think maybe you are short rooted, u may not like the way that looks?????
personally, i wish my breasts looked short rooted instead of uber tall, makes me look flat chested most of the time.Updated on January 7, 2016 Flag this

To be honest with you, I don't even know what that means. Laurizle I'm new to all of this proper bra fitting and so far im running like a chicken with It's head cut off.

helpfulI dont think you look as saggy as you think you do, for one thing. But otoh, I kinda know what you mean. When I first found my Floris, my boobs were way up high and way out front and I loved it. But it seems like the firmness of the fabric gave out and now its just not quite as high. I mean, compared to braless, still good, but not as oomph as it was when it was new.
I also notice your band might be slightly higher in the back than in front, so the band could have stretched out some?
atm, my favorite bras are my Ewa Michalak S. Its a padded bra. Someone told me I might need more 'structure' to get the support I wanted, but I was sure I did NOT want my boobs looking any bigger than they already are. But once I got used to a huge, padded cup on my front, I started to really love the way the S supports me.
I know its nerve-wracking ordering from poland. there are a few listings here on bratabase around your size

dbmamaz I was actually looking at the ewa michalak website last night but I don't think I would feel confident enough and know what to get. I just got this bra last week how could it already stretched out. I've used it a couple of times, when I first got the bra the band cut my ribs to the point I had deep red marks but I still wore it because like u said, it's better than not wearing one. It's already broken in. But even then my boobs looked that same way. I'm sure it gives me support but u see it gives me a horrible shape and I don't understand why??!!
-
again, I dont think its a horrible shape. I think this bra is a little pointy. I think you might be a bit FOB for this bra. It might be interesting to see before/after with a shirt on, to see what exactly is bothering you about it.
Oh, also worth thinking about - my boobs are now much fuller for at least a full week before my period, sometimes more. So bras fit differently at different times of the month. this could be part of it. I was baffled for a while that some of my bras would seem to not fit, and then fit for a while, and then not fit again, or vice versa - and when I finally realized it was PMS/not-PMS it was a revelation. I now have basically 2 sets of bras to wear depending on the time of the month.
anyways, there are 3 listings close to your size. I've heard this one runs small: http://www.bratabase.com/listings/di37x/
but its the closest.

I remind myself of indigenous cultures: braless, beautiful, beloved. Before we were subjected to powerful socialization, we were all beautiful and perfect. We remain beautiful and perfect. You are beautiful and perfect! :-)
