Bra fitting help » Band too long, but otherwise, is this ABTF?
Freya » Starlet Vertical Seam Bra (1061) » 28D 28:4
Issue resolved
It fits! I'll try to alter the band and look into some other half cup options.
Original problem
Aside from the very long band, I think this is about as good of a fit as I've found so far. Boob twins and boob experts, how does this look to you?

helpfulI agree with wendybien. A similar bra that gives a slightly more projected profile is the Comexim Coco (381). It is unlined and because it has two cup seams instead of one, is more projected. I have the 60E in this bra and I think that might work pretty well for you too! You can order as-is straight from the website. It takes forever (~4 weeks from order date) and there are no returns or exchanges for the 60/28 bands so there is some risk if the size isn't spot on for you. If you are in the US the conversion rate is pretty good right now though so even with shipping the prices are very low for the quality.
The Comexim Sonia is another two-seam half cup, but this one is padded with thin foam. Again I have the 60E that is on here, I ordered it straight off the website with no alterations and it works perfectly for me.
My ABTF measurements are 26.5" 25.0" 31.5" 32.5" 31.5" if that helps you decide on a potential size.
ETA: I just read your comment about tight bands and yoga breathing. I have some musical training (think trumpet and opera singing!) and my "loose" measurement is 29". Therefore, I haven't done a 26 band yet either.

Yeah. I have the Comexim Ivonne (28) in 60D and something isn't right about that bra on me. It's wearable and I do wear it a lot! I think it's a shape mismatch and might not work for me in 60E either.
I haven't tried too many of their plunges. The Comexim Lilou works perfectly but it's rumored to be a weird cut and not the same as their other plunges.
I think you just have to decide that if you get something that doesn't fit, you're fine with your resale options.

Word. I'm thinking about Victoria, Ginger and Sonia, though all of them are so lovely. Thanks for the advice -- you're giving me confidence in finding lined bras again!
-
I was only interested in unlined bras as everyday wear for about a year, and I'm purposely trying to branch out more now and try some lined/padded ones. Comexim has only a few unlined styles and I'm trying to figure out the real reason behind my aversion.

helpfulLooks great! If you can alter the band to a suitably short length this may help with the gore as well. A tall gore with a loose band can be extra uncomfortable since the lack of tension allows the wire to move around/ride up and poke the wearer.

I'm going to learn how to alter bra bands this weekend (not on this nice one!) and will report back with results. I do find the shape of this fairly minimizing. Any recommendations of similar bras that give a more projected profile?
-
Welll... Vertical seams in unlined cups typically give the most minimized profile of any design. So anything that has at least 1 horizontal or diagonal seam would be good, or even some molded thin foam cups have a more projected shape. Check out the Polish brands--if nothing else it will be really nice to be able to get a 26 band, even 28 must rarely fit you.
-
Yeah, I've been wondering if it's time to go Polish, but am rather overwhelmed by all the options. I'd probably stick with a 28 or 30 though -- I have only ~2/3" of difference between my snug and tight UB measurements (and have a lot of rib cage expansion when I breathe (thanks, yoga), so honestly even a snug 28 is sometimes too much.
-
Oh well that is actually a very good thing because 26es are not easy to come by! So can you wear an ultra snug 30 sometimes? I will have a think about what might fit your preferences in a 7"-ish cup...
-
Yes, luckily. I've been getting by in Aerie Sunnie Stretch (though I'll be altering the band this week) and just found a Lulu Tout in 30C that fits fairly well too. I may be posting a fit check for that tomorrow.
-
Oh, one just came back to me--have you tried the Parfait Charlotte? It seems to run rather small in the cup in your size range so you would prob. want a 28DD or 30D. It is distinctly projected in appearance.
-
Ooh, okay. I'll add it to my list. Thank you!

helpfulLove it! I wanted this bra to work for me to no avail. The seams gave me really weird bumps.

:) I was so happy it fit!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a super inflatable rib cage! It's a real thing and kind of messes with the fit of a lot of my bras -- e.g. Masquerade 28 bands are almost too tight if I'm tryna breathe normally.
Okay, seeing you & other small band/small bust women in Comexim recently has made me pretty darn curious. They fit you so well and our measurements are nearly identical (26.5 / 25.75 / 31.75 / 32.75 / 31). You recommend E over D cups?
