helpfulOk, so something is not matching here if your breast perimeters run from 19 to 21 but this cup depth is 15 and too big?
btw, are you short? those wires are clearly way too high on you. and the band only stretches to 40 but is too loose on you when your comfortable measurement is 40? the math is just not working here.
anyways, there is one elomi which is aimed at short women - you should look at those. not sure the size tho

Oh yeah im 5' 6

5'6 isnt that small. and you are measuring around just 1 breast, right? and 'laying' means laying on your back . . . thats the smallest one for me and the one that actually matches the cup depth for me - because I WANT my boobs gathered back to my body like they are when I'm laying down, not hanging down to my belly button lol

Tango is also a VERY tall bra. I definitely think this is a shape mismatch. dbmamaz You are thinking of the Elomi Etta and it does come in a 42HH (up to JJ on the 42 and 44 band).
cjojarvis34 are you pulling down your band after you've scooped and swooped? My band when I first put it on likes to settle in the fold I have above where my bra should sit, but it goes away once I adjust it down and stays there.

When I tried bras on this weekend the fitter put me in a tango one size a 30j Way small in the upper cup and the next cup up looked like yours way big in the upper and band was so riding up the back because the cup was acting like a sling . It was as if I put on a bra several sizes larger with the jump in tallness and extra depth . Bet it would be supportive if it wasn't so hard to fit .

Ok i updated and corrected , i think, my own measurements and i did have a couple on the panache messed up

Im gonna check the bravissimo first. I will let you know thanks for all your help

helpfulLooks like you need to try a smaller band probably a 38 and a bigger cup size, because it's riding up in the back, 80% of the support of the bra comes from the band, if it the bad is to big, aka rides up, your not getting your support.

I agree on the band size suggestion, but I'm wondering why you are suggesting a larger cup size, when there is both excess fabric on top *and* the cups being too wide?
A larger cup size would make the cups even wider and bigger/more fabric-heavy and therefore make the fit way worse in my understanding.Just interested why you are suggesting that, and what your reasoning behind that is, maybe I'm missing something here.

just going off the laying measurement, with a band that lose a smaller cup can be to big because it isn't held up against the skin/cupping the tissue correctly. If you go down a band size the cups will get smaller and narrower. The volume of tissue she has indicates the need for a larger cup size.

I used to wear a 44DDD and it did it's job more or less. How ever the bra that fits me is a 38H, smaller band larger cup. Just my experience.

I agree about the band riding up, and the cups may not be laying right because of the band not being secure enough? ..it will probably fit better with a bigger cup and smaller band.. even though that may sound strange, I had the same problem yesterday. Or maybe its just that the style is wrong for your breast shape.. I really think its more likely size though

cjarasmith when you go down a band size the cups do NOT get smaller and narrower. This is one of the reasons so many women, esp small band/large bust, have fit problems. You can see for yourself http://blog.butterflycollection.ca/2013/04/what-sister-size-bras-look-like.html
In fact, when you go down in band it may cause the cups to get wider and shallower. This is because a tight band pulls the cups/wires flatter and shallower, which is good if the band was too loose before but can be overdone if the band was already ok.
In this case the stretched band is the same as her comfy measurement. This indicates that the band isn't too far off, which makes sense since Panache runs very tight. (Maybe she should go down to a 40 in this -- can't tell, but the band is not the major problem.) What is making the bra unstable is the cups, which are too big. All that extra space destabilizes the bra just as much as a too-loose band does.
I'm sorry, I know I sound pedantic, and i really don't mean to lecture you or anyone, but I want members of our community to be able to recognize that there are all sorts of fit problems and not just the one we're used to ('your cups are too small and your band is too big').

melifish every time I've tried the same cup in a smaller band the wires have been narrower. I'm nearly her identical measurements, and spent years with bands that were much to big.
Though in my comment I specifically said to go up a cup size. The band is clearly to big.
I was giving her my personal knowledge about what I had tried and what works for me. Thanks for the info though! :-)

So ive taken my band down to a 38 and bought an m in the goddess brand and its almost a perfect fit. Thank you

The 19 to 21 is bent over measurment and i could have measured or put in a number wrong somewhere with the frustration of all of this, i will go back and check measurements
