Bra fitting help » Could I size up a cup to remedy quadding and get more coverage?

Issue resolved
Decided to try a size up, but this cut just may not be to my liking.
Original problem
My first EM S style, trying to figure out if I need to go a cup size up or if this is the best fit I'll get. It looks pretty good from the front, but my right breast, which is much larger, has tons of cleavage, some quadding, and feels like it may escape! I know some like a lot of cleavage, but if I prefer less could I size up a cup, or is this just not the cut for me? Looking at photos of other S cuts, it looks like some people where it with a lot of cleavage, while others get more coverage, which I would like if possible without gaping.

helpfulHow do your breasts fill the cup? If they fill it up all the way and then quad, a size up couldn't hurt to try. However, if your breasts don't quite fill it (like if your apex doesn't match the bra's apex, there's some room on the side etc) then this might be the best fit you'll get. I had this exact bra in 2 sizes: one fits me like this one fits you-some quad and cleavage and the next size up was more full coverage, slight gaping but the straps were much wider and quite unbearable. Do you have the pads in this bra? If you have the pads in + quad, see how it fits without them. Maybe that will work. I hope this all makes sense.

If it wasn't for the long stabby wires in the bigger size I ordered, I would have kept it. Cleavage is nice but I like how nicely the larger size covered me. Sounds like you'd feel more secure in a larger size, and after all, the pads are there to help fix slight size differences. Make your bigger breast happy and pad the smaller to fit.

Thanks for the encouragement :). I'd love to be able to try both sizes at once, but I ordered through Zathiya so I have to decide to return or keep this one, and then possible in the future get the next size if she gets it in stock. Or find one on bratabase. Also, I checked out your review of your Syrenas, and it was super helpful, thanks.

I'm glad I could help. Could you get in touch with Zathiya to make sure they'll have the next size up? I think they can special order them. That way you don't have to hope that your size comes back in.

Yeah, she said I could special order, but then its not returnable. Can't decide if I'm ready to take that plunge...

Well at least you'll have that option. There's nothing wrong with this fit bar the quad, so it's worth keeping if you don't want to order the larger size.

helpfulThis bra is designed to be very low-coverage but apart from the wire length issue (and this bra doesn't have super long wires compared to most) I can't think of any really terrible problems that would be incurred if you chose to size up a cup to get more containment.
Generally when you have a decent discrepancy in volume between the breasts, you want to fit the larger boob (to achieve whatever coverage is desired) and pad the smaller side if you wish.

It does make sense, thanks for the tips! I don't have the pads in. If I go up a size, its likely I'll need to pad under my smaller breast, which is about a cup size smaller but the difference seems to be more accentuated in this bra than others I have. My breasts do fill the cups all the way--basically I wish my larger breast fit like my smaller one does, because as is I fell like it will jiggle around a lot.
