Bra fitting help » to big? or just the wrong shape? Help!
Elomi » Madison Plunge Bra (8730) » 40H 40:11
Issue resolved
The cups seem to be a bit small actually. and maybe wide, it's quite comfortable though and I can wear it all day
Original problem
I think this fits when I first put it on. But now i'm not so sure. I've got a bit of extra fabric when my boobs settle. But when I first adjust everything the cups are perfectly smooth. I'm not getting much in the cleavage department, I'm not sure if I've got cups that are to big, or just something that's the wrong shape.
Edit: the extra fabric is on the bottom of the cups.

helpfulSorry I can't tell, where's the empty fabric? Top, bottom, or side?
This style of bra is just not conducive to cleavage, I know that's a bit misleading since it's a plunge, but these unlined "plunges" from Elomi, Fantasie, etc are often quite full coverage with gores too high and separated to allow for cleavage. If that's what you're looking for, I suggest looking at something with a lower gore and probably padded, like Ewa's S or PL or Comexim plunges.

Sorry, the fabric is on the bottom and it only happens when I move around, then when I readjust it fills back out.
Em's are too narrow for me, at least going off the measurements i've seen in the bra's i've looked at so far.
I also don't want lined bras. Thats why I was wondering about the plunge effect of the unlined and if that was just the way it went with an unlined bra.

on the bottom right along the wire? That can be too-shallow cup or too-narrow wires keeping breast from getting to the bottom of the cup, or for me sometimes its center-heavy boobs pushing the bra down by the gore so it wont stay in the IMF. If you have ot adjust frequently, and its irritating, coudl be a deal-breaker. But if its not affecting comfort or fit, or only needs to be adjusted 2-3 times a day, well, thats within my tolerance anyways.

yeah, thats where it is.
I'm not quading and the wires seem to be in the right place. So thus my confusion with the fit, because it SHOULD fit, but something is still off.

helpfulbased on the side shot, yeah, i'd try a cup down. Unless the pic is misleading, there isn't supposed to be that much projection, meaning the cup is too deep.

Huh, I hadn't thought of that, because I kept having to lengthen the straps to get it more rounded. Because the tighter the straps were, the more pointed the cups got. And in previous bras I have tired, when the cups were pointed it was because everything was to small. But I don't know anything about this bra.

pointy cups can mean anything from that's just the bra design to too small cup to (most commonly) too-large cup. I'm pretty familiar with fitting elomi which does a good job of making nice round shapes, and it really looks to me like it's a bit big.

helpfulI like the look of this bra and seems to give fair projection but I am some what surprised it only has two hooks and eyes.
I think with big boobs one needs to be looking for at least three and four hooks in ones bras.Updated on April 6, 2016 Flag this

It has three. I do have a couple with two only though. And that doesn't bug me, but I am comfortable with out a bra, my thing is more about shape, the support is really moot. The cups seem to be small on this though for me, because the band feels smaller when I get my boobs into the cops.

Kinda what I was thinking - this looks like a great fit - for a fairly full-coverage bra. I mean, if it came in a 32J, I might try it! I think its a fine shape for you, but its not a cleavage bra.
