Bra fitting help » Bra cuts in but volume feels correct, other half cups work perfect in same size
Comexim » Elena Half Cup » 65HH 30:9
Issue resolved
Band up, cup down's going to be the next size to try.
Original problem
The volume feels correct in this size but I get quadboob. I had success with EM's CHPS and was hoping the Comexim 3HC would be a cheaper alternative. I'm not sure if this is the wrong size but I think if I went up a size the wires would be too wide. If it's not the size, could it just be too closed on me? I wanted to love this bra but it cut in too much to be really wearable.
Edit: the quad isn't that evident in the pictures but it was definitely a problem in real life.

helpfulI found Elena more closed than Eris, Papillon, and Geisha. Additionally, it was more shallow than Papillon. You may be happier in a different fabric....

That, too :-)

I think that's only the case with factory made bras, as they are sewn and then dyed, and darker dyes make the fabric shrink a little.
Comexim doesn't dye their fabric, they buy it already dyed. So they can always cut the same size parts. The difference between fabrics rather come from different levels of stretch and stiffness in the fabrics, and different ways of finishing the cups.

helpfulDid you try to loosen it with extender? I'm 73cm comfy under my bust and can't imagine to squeeze in bra that stretches to 73 - always need to have more than 76cm in stretched band otherwise I get quadboob like you if I'm wearing the right size - loosening reduces them and the bra is still very supportive especially with Comexim and EM. Sometimes is enough just to use 1 or 2 rows from the extender and that can help a lot. Also I always try to stick to band in 70 rather than 65 as this should not be converted from uk size but based on the chest measurements so then bras fit differently rather than getting quadbooba and making cups shallower due to too stretched band. That's how it works on me if I'm trying go down in a band. Maybe once take a chance to try looser band and see if this would help

Thanks! I have already sold this bra but I think an extender might have helped. The band was pretty snug but so are most of my EM's, and since I don't wear extenders with them I didn't think to try this one on with an extender too. I'm thinking about trying again so that's why I put up this fit request. I think next time I'll try a bigger band size but similar cup volume and see if that helps.

yeah, I believe that sizing up in a band and possibly down in a cup will solve many issues :) good luck !

helpfulHave you tried adjusting the straps? Sometimes straps that are too tight can cause quad boob in cups that otherwise fit okay.

The straps were pretty good. If I had loosened them then they would have fallen off my shoulders. :/ I think I might try the next size up if I can find one second hand.

helpfulI agree the band looks a bit too tight, especially from the underside picture. I'd throw an extender on it & see if that helps a little bit.

Thanks! I think next time I'll try a size up. I've already sent this bra on (Forgot to mention it in my post) but I wanted to see if there was a way to get this to work if I tried again. So far I think a band size up and straps moved in is the way to go.

helpfulThis is exactly how the 3HC fits me. It's my widest cup by about 0.5 cm, and there's no way I could go wider. The depth seems fine, and measurement confirms it's similar to my CHPS. My thinking is that it's more closed on top, especially at the center. I'm very center full, with a somewhat tall root. This cup just closes in too soon for me

That sounds just like what is happening here. I just recently realized I'm center full too. I'm gonna give this cut one last try though in a band size up but same cup volume to see if that helps.

Thanks. Don't the black fabrics tend to run tighter or more different than other colors?
