Bra fitting help » really wide or too big?

Issue resolved
The bra is too big, I should take 70HHs from now on or possibly an outlier.
Original problem
I have very narrow and short roots (also high set). I loved ewa until I got this bra. I feel like it's very tall and wide (Esp the straps), but maybe it's too large in general? If I bend over my tissue fills the cup, and the strap hook is toward the back of my armpit! (Attempting to point it out in the picture). The angled picture shows my smaller boob. In real life it's maybe half a cup size smaller, but in this bra it looks a full cup size. I have a big order of 70j's from ewa that are on hold right now, should I size down? I fit into two 70hh that run deep in the cup, but I also just got a 75h (i altered the band) and it has similar fit issues to this one.

helpfulToo big for you. It may have a bit of an atypical fit compared to other S cuts, but if you have this much coverage in an S you know it is too big--this comes up as high as a full cup, plus it gapes.

I honestly don't know--an EM expert would do a better job answering you, try finding an active poster who has reviewed a bunch in that size range and see what they say!

EM cups run small in the measurements. Did you outgrow all your 70H EMs? I cant imagine why else you would go up to a J?

I was quadding a good bit on the 70h's and, long story short, I was trying to go off the cup depth measurement to choose bras. I have an 80GG HP Turkus altered to 70HH that i quad in, and it has 12.6" cup depth, so I thought that was a good starting place. Actually, this bra has the same depth as my 70H Przeplatanki which I was quadding out the middle of, but this bra is .6" wider, and the wires are 1" longer (!) So.... I'm really nervous about that order lol.

is it an older model? i feel like she's getting better about consistency. but maybe thats wishful thinking. I have 2 SMs where the band is a full size too small.
anyways, clearly too big, could be faulty. I'm sure I've had a few faulty bras from her

The altered bra is old, but the Przeplatanki is a new model. I decided to ask ewa to change the sizes to 70HH, if she can, to be on the safe side. Technically my last working set of ewas was 3 different sizes, so I guess its going to be hit or miss either way.

helpfulThis looks like it's just too big in the cup for you. You have a breast perimeter of 10 and it has a cup depth of 11.5--1.5 in more than you need. You marked the band as feeling too tight, and it certainly looks so. How does the 75 feel? If the 75 you have is too big in the band, then I think you should wear an extender with your 70s and it'd be more comfortable. So I would recommend sticking to the 70HH and 75Hs.

my vertical perimeter is 10, but my horizontal is 13. not really sure how that works. that's just my fat rolls, it looks like that even with too large bra bands lol. I have an extender on here.
-
Oh, whoops--read the perimeter thing wrong. I just like to make sure no one's wearing bands that hurt, cuz i did that for a while. I have the same roll and even if bands are slightly too tight they dig in under it.
-
75s are definitely more comfortable but theyre very unsupportive, I guess I have some weird fat distribution going on lol. So its not crazy to go off my horizontal perimeter right? but maybe my roots are so short I should size down a cup to compensate?
-
when you take your horizontal perimeter lying down, are you able to balance all the boob mass on top of your torso or is it slumping to one side? Because if it's the latter, that sort of defeats the purpose of lying down as you're likely to get a similar measurement as you would standing up, i.e. probably much larger than your perimeter when supported in a bra. Except for augmented folks with zero skin stretching, in the larger cup volumes we all fit "smaller" when the breast tissue is supported in a bra cup with some degree of compression than we do when it's hanging freely and subject to gravity with nothing in the way.
-
when I lie down they do balance on my torso, but my root is really narrow. if I raise my arm you can see the side of the tissue about an inch from the side of my ribcage. That's a good point about compression. I didn't think about that until I got this bra. If I put the pads in it looks ok, but I can definitely feel the difference going down stairs :p

do you think this is normal and the two large 70hh's are abnormal then, as far as a 70j would run? I'm having a difficult time telling by perusing cup measurements.
