Bra fitting help » Tight band, wrinkling
Panache » Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951) » 30FF 30:8
Issue resolved
Too small in many ways. Was returned.
Original problem
The band feels so tight. Would this be due to the cups being too small? There is also some very slight wrinkling at the bottom of the cup.

helpfulNope, the band feels too tight because it is too tight! The whole bra is being pulled east-west here, that's a sign you need more band length. Throw on an extender to eliminate that distortion (not an elasticated one) and you will get a better sense of whether this particular cup volume is right or not.

You can get extender at most craft sewing stores , even in the sewing department of Wal-Mart ..

Order them from Amazon, or even in a small town you usually have at least one store that sells maternity items--they often have extenders.
Just one thing: get an extender that just looks like the two tabs at the ends of a bra band. Do not get the kind with a bit of elastic in the middle, because they add a minimum of 2-3 inches which is usually more than you want.

You can even use the parts of an old bra and sew an extender yourself, it is not hard. Until you get a good one that will do.

they are ubber cheep on amazon, I got 20 for 5 dollers, but every craft store such as jo anns and Michaels has them.

helpfulFor what it's worth, I have similar ribcage measurements to you and I bumped up to a 32 in Jasmine - the 30 was just unbearably tight. I kept hoping it would stretch with wear, but nope.

Thanks! Would you have a suggestion on where to buy an extender? I don't have any of the good lingerie stores nearby and I'm still new to all of this :)
