Issue resolved
Too shallow, will resell
Original problem
Perfect fit? This bra feels so comfortable like it was made for me. Just curious if anyone picked up fit issues I didn't. It is on the tighest hook but I can sew in the band a tad so I can wear it on the loosest hook and get more use out of it. The back doesn't ride up which surprised me. Should I get more Freya halfcups?

helpfulYou're more projected that this bra allows for which is why you get the slight gaping at the top, your boobs are pushing it away. I don't understand the measurement system on here so can't comment on where to go in bratabase terms but you probably need a cup size larger, and something with a deeper cup. Wires look roughly the right width but hard to tell with moulded bras, if they were longer you'd get less armpit chub (I have the same problem ). You look like you probably have tall roots so half cups that aren't so shallow (eg Freya Starlet unlined half cup) may suit, or try bras suitable for more projected FOT shapes like Cleo Marcie (it will be narrower and much more projected so beware!). Deco plunge might even suit better, not too projected, FOT, slightly narrower wires, Deco half cup really is wide and shallow.

Thank you! I really like the Freya Starlet! I will try! I am desparately trying to get a Marcie. Good to confirm it would be a good bra! I thought I was shallow all this time and I may be up top. But I even looked at the Venusian Glow article and ws still confused if I was shallow, slightly shallow, slightly projected, avg projection. Thank you! I will try a more projected bra next time as I am probably projected and fob. This is so helpful! Sometimes you just need an objective opinion! Thank you!!!

Marcie is pretty widely available, it does though have fairly narrow wires. Can you figure out how much too wide the Deco wires are and then look up Marcie to see if it would be too narrow?
-
I am not sure about width. When I do the push back test, the sides of my boobs go out almost to my back. When I lean forward, I feel like the sides of my body are just skin and bones and I could have a narrow underwires like 4.5" width. I think migrated breast tissue may be causing this issue rather than a true width thing? I don't really know. I may just go into an actual store and experiment with different underwire widths to see. Good point! I will look into it!!

helpfulIf you like this style, definitely try other Freya half cups. Unfortunately this bra is the only moulded half cup style that I know of but there are many padded seamed half cup styles that might work.

Thanks! I am not set on moulded and want to try other styles. I do like padded for modesty and because I am shallow up top, though I will try anything. It is good to know other Freya halfcups may work! Yeah! I may have found my brand! Thank you!

See my comment further down, I would only consider Freya Lauren based half cups, I think Patsy based styles will be too shallow. I would try 28E and 28F in most.

Thanks Joanna! Doh! I had the opportunity to buy the Lauren from the same buyer but I thought it wouldn't fit.

helpfulIn my experience, (and looking at the measurements), the Freya Deco band is tighter than other Freya bands (e.g. Freya Patsy). So, you might want to consider trying the 28" band size. But, look at reviews/ measurements.
I searched for Freya Padded Half Cups in 30DD, but you might want to sister size down in the band:
http://www.bratabase.com/search/?q=freya+padded+half+cup&selected_facets=index_cup%3A5&page=2&selected_facets=index_band:30&selected_facets=discontinued:0#results-headerI think the only other Moulded Half Cup is the Freya Deco Honey.
Note: I wear 32GG/ 34 G in Freya. Shape: narrow, pendulous, projected, close set (when supported), center fullness... My problem with Freya HC are (1) Gores don't quite tack at the top b/c I'm close set, (2) Cups are too shallow & I'm projected. (3) Wires are wide/ I'm narrow. So, if yours are shallow & wide, then it might work for you. The gore isn't too high, so it might still be okay even if you have close boobs.

Thank you! That is very helpful!

Deco Honey is the plunge style.
-
It looks like there was a Deco Honey HC version, but it was discontinued... Sorry about that. http://www.bratabase.com/browse/freya/deco-honey-moulded-half-cup-bra-1252/28F/
-
Judging by how many are listed I'd reckon it was barely available for one season, not one I'd heard of. The plunge was a long term model.
-
Yeah, that's what I figured too after looking it up again and seeing no pictures and barely any reviews.
-
Thanks so much for your knowledge and insight!

helpfulI thought in picture 2, it was the bratabase watermark underneath my armpit. Nope, I think that is my breast coming out at the sides. sigh. When I first try on bras, I miss so many key things!! Doh! I am used to being in 34a/b bras so a really loose band and tight cups feels right. For some reason I wasn't quadboobing, but just smooshing my boobs back into my armpit. My boobs are all along the sides of the cup. I guess I have soft tissue? Obviously I am lost here. I think it is the angle of the gore or low height of it that is making it feel comfortable too. I really like the band too so maybe that is what made it feel right. I may still look into Freyas? Any input is good. Thank you!
