Bra fitting help » Gaping in top, shape mismatch?

Issue resolved
Band was too big. Once band was shortened 3.25", cups fit perfectly.
Original problem
Why doesn't the Juna fit me? When I am sitting or standing, the bottom and top cups feel filled except there is a little collapsing/dramatic bending of the top part of the cup in the centre. Is that the way the Juna just fits? When I move my arms forward or up, the top of the cup puckers esp on the right side...but my right side is bigger and slightly fob. Is fob the problem? I know it is a band size too big for me but I had similar fit issues with the 28FF Juna Cleo which was too big for me in the cups but should have fit me in the band. Infact I experienced the same fit issues in the 28FF just more exagerated...gaping in the cups esp right. I think I am just not full enough on top (esp right) and need 3 part bras with lace tops? I think the shape is a mismatch? I am still defining my shape and types of bras to buy. Any help is appreciated. If this helps, I think I am a horizontal, oval shaped with tall shallow upper roots. I think my roots are really wide and close set too. My bust measurements are: 34 standing, 34.5 leaning, 33 lying down.

helpful1. Telling from the pictures, iIt's slightly too big, but not enough to justify sizing down in the cup - in especially since the underwire is already too short and too narrow for you.
You could try the black version of the Juna (black bras often run *slightly* smaller and/or narrower than their white counterparts) or any of the Juna sister cuts. Personally, I had very good experiences with the Darcy, which has both a tighter band and better fit in the cups.2. It doesn't really matter how a bra fits when you are moving your arms to the front or slouching. Even a bra that fits perfectly will start gaping when you do that.
Bra fit should be assessed in a neutral, standing position with the arms hanging loosely at the sides, or with hands put at the hips.3. Are you wearing it on the innermost set of hooks? If not, does the fit improve when you do?

Denise5 A Rixie clip sounds like a very good idea! You could try that to see if the cups fit if the band was tighter (which I strongly assume) and alter the band afterwards.

helpfulHow is it under a shirt, and how does it feel?
My experience with Juna - if it looks like a perfect fit (i.e. lace is smooth and lays flat), then I overflow and have quadding once I've put on a T and walked around a bit. I sized up and while it appears a little less perfect of a fit in the top of the cup visually, it's wonderful under a cami or T. If you haven't, do put something snug over it and give it 15 minutes to see if you "settle" into it.
Also, did you try the 28F? You mentioned a 28FF, but in my experience too large or small a cup size can at times make it tricky to fully assess band size.
Good luck!

Good point! I needed to hear from someone with experience with the Juna. I tried it on under a tshirt and you couldn't tell the bra was gaping. I decided to keep it. I don't have a rixie clip just yet but I will invest in one for sure! I decided to sew in the band about 3.25". The cups fit perfetly now! The top part of the cup folds back and shapes to my breast! Yeah!! Thankfully no quadboob in this (I think my boobs tend to push out the sides if the cup is too small. Maybe I have very soft tissue?). I will upload after pics and close this request! Thank you!!!

helpfulLooking objectively at this now...Is the bra too wide? Maybe the looseness of the band makes it seem like boobs are escaping from the side when really it is just back fat from a loose band? pic #7 - What is happening? Is that escaped boob stretching horizontally under my arm? What does this indicate? Sorry, I am a newbie here still so you may have to state the obvious for me. :/ Or maybe this does fit me? I mean it is comfortable so I may keep it anyway. FYI - I overspent on bras to this point so I couldn't buy another new bra. I was pretty desparate so I just bought the closest thing I could find. Still can't get a marcie in my size on amazon in my country (free shipping and returns helps) as last time I bought from the US they lost the parcel and no free shipping! So I just relied on bratabase used bras to come up in my size and best shape. Anyway just to let you know I am taking everyone's advice seriously here but budget and the need to wear a bra that didn't hurt asap were my issues. I also have very prominent nipples so it makes me nervous to get unlined bras but I will try!!!

1. Thanks! I think I may resell it. I can look for a black one ir just try another bra.
2. It fits fine when my shoulders are back or sitting. Good to know.
3. Yes, it is on the innermost hooks. The cups may pucker less when I cinch in the band more but I didn't want to alter it yet if it was a bad fit and I needed to resell. I will have to find a rixie clip or engineer something similar that doesn't alter the band to see.
