Bra fitting help » To keep or to return? Gaping, band too long.

Issue resolved
I decided to return it
Original problem
I am not sure if I should keep this bra (and other one, Cleo Juna in the next topic) or return it. Balconnet may be just the wrong model for me. If there is no chance to get a better bra, I believe this one can be altered somehow. My breasts feel rather comfortable in the cups. And I like the color.
There is a list of problems:
First, the band is loose. It doesn't feel uncomfortable, but I have "fat rolls" on the back beause of it. I feel like the cup is too small on the sides where I have my main volume, so the tissue is pushed to the sides where the band cuts in.
Second, the gaping all over the top of the cup. It is the most strangest thing I had in all balconnet bras I ordered (cleo juna 28F and tutti Rouge Betty 28FF). If I move the strap to the side (as if I had wider frame), gaping disappears.
If I order smaller size, the underwire would be too narrow for me. So this is not the option. So I wonder if I should keep the bra or search for other balconnets to fit me. Or I should alter this bra and how is better to do it?

helpfulHonestly there are so many things wrong with the fit here... But the gaping is clearly due to the straps being too wide-set for your petite shoulders, it is not a true cup volume problem, it is because the top of the cup is being "scrunched" due to the impossibility of the strap being as far out from the center as it is designed to be. A smaller cup size will not help the straps fit your shoulders. I would try a different bra altogether--sorry!

If you have a very petite frame unfortunately you will be a little bit restricted by the need to seek out more narrowly-set straps... it's not a super common problem in your size range so I'm not sure what to recommend, although if you are willing to try Comexim I know they can be obtained with straps moved in. I seem to recall another brand, maybe Lulu Tout or Pour Moi? that could be worth looking into but don't quote me on that! I'd look up other users in your size range by browsing reviews of bras in this size, and seeing what's in their collection that looks more narrow-set.

helpfulI know you don't want to try a size down, but that's what I would recommend. It looks like the balconette style is a little too tall for you. You can always stretch the wires yourself. It's common practice to distort the wires a little (either pulling them wider, bending them narrower, or bending the gore/ wing tips away from the body) It takes a little effort, but it can make an unworkable bra into a better fitting one. If you try a size down, you can widen the cup to the width you need (this will make the cup a little shallower).

I tried that with Curvy kate Entice in 28E but ended up removing the underwires because it was painful no matter what I did, and now I have doubleboob on the sides and gaping in the center :(

helpfulI suggest a size down too. Band being too large means cups that are too wide and with a too large band the underwires cannot do their job of supporting. Did you swoop and scoop? Some bras even need a swoop, scoop and a placement of breast tissue.

Band is too large because it stretches up to 32 inches! And I have 25-26 inches ;))) The cups are definately not wide! half a centimiter narrower, ant they will cut in.
The underwires are supportive and the band is not uncomfortably large, I can wear it. But it will stretch with time, and I don't like how it cuts into my back. The band doesn't cut if the cups are wider and the band smaller. -
Yikes! That seems like way too much stretch :( Maybe you need a Polish brand with narrower wires? In the photos it looks wide but it could be the angle. Might want to return this bra if it's giving that many fit issues. A pain but better than trying to alter.

I am returning some other bras anyway so It makes no difference if there is one more. I just liked the looks of this bra and the color and I wish it was a better fit.
The cups look wide but they are not, because I have side fullness and I need more space at the sides, otherwise I quad or my breasts escape under the underwire when the band is loose.

Thank you! Can you recommend something that could work for me?
