Issue resolved
I will be ordering one cup size up.
Original problem
Cup feels too small. The band is comfortable and snug and parallel/straight across my back (I couldn't get a good picture of that) … but my nipples are at the very edge of the cup ready to pop out (it's a bit hard to see in the pics). I've always worn a 75F in comexim but I feel like my boobs have gotten a bit bigger (even though I've lost weight).
This Comexim bra is my lowest in the cups (the cup height is approximately 6.25 - it's unaltered) … but I've been having this issue with almost all of my Comexims recently (most of my other Comexims are around 6.5" tall - all unaltered)
I was thinking of trying a 75G … but I'm not sure if that would fix this issue. What do you think? Any advice/help is welcome and totally appreciated! Thanks!!

helpfulIt's hard to say if it is a cup depth problem or not because you don't have all of your breast perimeter measurements recorded in the chart... both lying and vertical perimeter could help shed light on whether you need more depth and/or a taller cup to accommodate your current volume. Personally when I lose or gain breast volume this is quite noticeable in the vertical measurement, though not everyone is the same.
The most likely culprit though, in my opinion, is that like so many people you have more center fullness than the lower-cut Comexims can accommodate in a cup size that is otherwise suitable for your anatomy. You would need to size up in order to achieve proper containment and support of the center tissue, instead of the subtle slump visible in pictures 8-9-10 and that will become more marked throughout the day as your boobs fight your way out and the bra is pushed downwards!
There is a small--ok more like tiny--glimmer of hope that PERHAPS some of this center squeeze is due to a band that is tighter than it needs to be, and that an extender could remedy the situation. It's worth a try. But I don't think this is terribly likely... imo it is more probably the typical center shallowness problem mentioned above.

OK yes if your vertical perimeter is greater than your lying and horizontal perimeter, that puts your proportions outside the average for your size range. It means you either have "super-projection" or an unusually tall distribution of the full, projected part of your breast mass. Either way, you are going to need bras that offer a generous amount of both volume and coverage near the gore (because what's just a low-cut plunge cup on other people will be a cutting-in invitation to spill out on you) and an open-ish top, unless it is both tall and super full coverage. If you seek out the oldie but goodie bra-fitting blog BrasIHate, she also has this type of breast proportion (that she dubbed "full on top").
-
That makes a lot of sense and sounds like why I've always had trouble choosing my bra size … or more specifically my cup size. I always wondered if i was FOT but never really understood what that meant lol. I'm looking at BrasIHate now … she has EM reviews, but not Comexim unfortunately (and EM wire hurt me like crazy). I've read that Comexim can make alterations to make the cup have more coverage towards the gore. I think this would mean raising the gore … I've never tried that alteration but could give it a shot.

Anna from a Sophisticated Pair has this description of their alterations: http://sophisticatedpair.com/blog/a-guide-to-comexim-and-anna-pardal-alterations/ … I'm worried to raise it since my boobs are so close together. I feel like raising it may actually make it press on breast tissue. I noticed that my comexims with a 3" gore fit better than some of my lower ones - like 2.75" … however, it's a gamble as to what the gore will be since I've never requested an alteration and they're all different. Do you know if you can request a specific gore height? Sorry for all of the questions lol.

I know you can get different gore heights... I'm by no means a Comexim expert but I know they have a great track record for being willing to accommodate just about anything. I think if you communicate with them about your needs and particularly give them measurements of how much cup height you'd want and how "long" you would need the cup edge to be to allow the bra to tack they might be able to propose a design that works. It may be that you just need to stay away from the plunges and try some of their other designs

helpfuli'm gonna disagree with wendy on this one re the gore height -- and agree with you that a lower gore to allow your close set breasts to do their thing is often best.
At least one band size up, since it's not stretching to even your tight measurement, if all those are correct. And then based on the fact that the wires are quite narrow and you're not getting a lot of coverage, in addition to the pillowing, probably about one cup up as well, perhaps two. I don't think you need any unusual alterations as you are basically the shape Comexim designs for.

Thanks melifish ! :) I'm definitely going to try going up one cup size and if that doesn't work go up another. I was thinking of requesting moving the straps in 2cm since the 75F straps are at a good placement for me, but just a tad wide for me. Not sure how that would alter the rest of the bra though.
For the band i actually measured the stretched band incorrectly (which i'll update now!). The band actually stretches to about 32". So that was my bad!

I kind of figured, it didn't look like a tight band issue.
The reason straps are wide on bras even in the right size (this is a much bigger issue for folks who wear their cups really large and their bands really tight) is that a slightly wider strap helps enable side support (ie less east west) and lift. So, yeah, it could possibly change the rest of the bra.
-
Oh, that is good to know about the strap placement! Thanks!
When going up a cup size, but staying at the same band size… do the straps move at all? I mean, do they get wider as the cup size goes up?
-
Yes, potentially. Normally if you're just going up to the correct cup and no further it should be minimal. But if the straps are really borderline and you're worried about it, have them moved in.
That's why it's important not to get a cup that's too big. If your breast tissue isn't actively pushing the cup away from your body at the apex, the straps will get too wide because they sort of get sucked in towards the armpits by the band.
-
Oh, I didn't know that! Thanks! :) I might try one with them moved in and then one without. Just to see which works better.
-
Thanks so much! Ok, so I took my lying perimeter - which is about 10" … and my vertical perimeter - which is about 11". I'm not sure how to tell if that means I need more depth or a taller cup. How can I tell with those measurements? What do you think?
I think that I do have a lot of center fullness. For sizing up - would you try going up one cup size to something like a 75G? I tried an extender and it didn't help much - esp since this band is stretchier than some of my other Comexims.
