Bra fitting help » Quadding: cups too small or bad shape? (plunge vs.full breasts)

Issue resolved
This bra would fit me better if I went up a cup size, but I would still have fit issues because the style is too closed on top for my breasts (too much inner fullness).
I more or less solved the problem by trying to smooth all the breast tissue inside the cups (careful to place the bra with the underwire just under my breasts, since it tends to sit lower) and by lengthening the straps a bit, thus relieving some of the pressure from the cups on my breasts tissue. I get slightly less support but at least the quadding isn't visible under clothes.
I could also try to unsew the top seam of the cup to make the lace looser, but I'm reluctant to make permanent changes and so I'll leave it as it is.
Original problem
The cup cuts the top of my breasts, especially towards the centre of the bra. It is quite noticeable even while wearing clothes.
I've tried using it with an extender to "deepen" the cups (though the band is perfect as it is) but I didn't see any changes.
The question is, are the cups too small in size or is the bra too closed toward the middle? I've bought another Bravissimo plunge (Ring O' Roses) in the same size and I have the same issue, though not as much, probably because the fabric of that one is softer.

helpfulThe cups look too small and too closed off to me. I notice the slope from the top looks slightly downwards. I find that happens more often when the cup volume is a little small.

helpfulI would say that based on how low the bra comes on you (both in the front and on the sides) it appears to be too small. I don't think that its meant to hit quite so low (though even in the right size, you might experience the same fit issues but to a lesser extent)

You mean too small in the band too? As for the band placed too low, I hadn't noticed that, but it's probably because it's new and I'm not quite used to it. I tried putting it on with the underwire just under my breasts and it fit a little better, but still with a bit of quadding.
Then it occurred to me to lengthen a bit the straps to "lessen the pressure" of the cups on my breasts and it worked! I get a little less support but at least the bra is wearable. -
Sorry, I didn't mean too small in the band! The band stretches to 27.6 and your comfortable rib cage is 26.2, so unless the measurements are off that should be fine for you!
What I mean is that the top edge of the outside of the cup (between the strap and underwire) looks like it might not have as much coverage on you as its meant to

Sorry, I misunderstood! Yes, the band feels fine to me. Anyway, you're right, I compared these photos to others where I'm wearing better fitting bras and this one sits lower than them. I have to adjust my breasts quite a bit to avoid it. Perhaps in the photos it's even more noticeable because I didn't scoop and sweep properly since I was in a hurry. Thank you for your help!

helpfulYou might fit a little better if you sized up but this design looks like it is not made for breasts which have a taller amount of fullness; also this design has almost zero room for center fullness, of which you have a great deal. I would try a different bra altogether to be honest!

Yeah, I think you're right. I guess part of the problem is the seam underneath the top of the cups, which closes them too much (otherwise the lace would be a lot looser). I was pondering taking that part off, since it's just sewn to the lace and wouldn't be a problem to unsew, but I solved the quadding by lengthening the straps a little bit, so that the top of the cups doesn't dig on my breasts. It's not as supportive as before, but now the quadding is not visible while wearing clothes.
Thanks for your suggestions!

Yes, It's probably a combination of bad shape and a size too small. As I said to the others who replied, I more or less solved the problem by lengthening the straps a bit, but I can see that in the angle shot there's spillage towards the armpit too, so a 28GG would probably fit me better. Thanks for the help!
