Bra fitting help » Cups too far apart, back fat on top, sometimes space under straps in front
Panache » Porcelain Elan Moulded T-shirt Bra (7321) » 34F 34:7
Issue resolved
Ended up getting Comexims from Jaimie at braobsessed.com . Thank you for the help!
Original problem
The cups are too far apart. If I don't adjust the straps just right, there is space between the front strap and my body. On the back, there is a roll of fat above the strap.

helpfulI don't have any suggestions, but I do have some questions.
-Did you swoop & scoop? In the first pic, it looks like the bra is too low, like it's below your IMF.
-I not you have the band on the tightest setting. Is this bra an old bra that has stretched out in the band, or do you normally tighten them on the tightest setting? You will want to tighten the band on the loosest setting, so the bras last longer. It does look like the gore is too wide for your breasts.

Wow, after reading the post linked by DressTheTwins , I tried the 34FF (UK size) Porcelain Elan on again (not the 34F above), and I had quad boob in the middle but under the straps was still too loose!
I don't have time to take pictures right now, but it was very interesting to see that. Previously, I had thought the 34FF was way too big, but it seems about right (if only it actually fit my shape).
If it would be helpful, I can take pictures tonight.

When your breasts are supported, you will have quite a bit of breast in the center. It sounds like the 34FF is a better fit, but not yet ideal. :-) Progress :-)

helpfulI think it looks like a typical too-shallow not-human-shaped molded bra (i'm NOT a fan of molded bras). I'm actually not sure the cup is big enough, either.

I don't like the molded look, either, but I have very prominent nipples and I'm trying to cover them. Is there another approach I can take? I know almost nothing about bra options. Thank you!

An altered Comexim 3HC...you need lots of immediate projection and this cup style is good for that. Your breasts may require both a narrowed and overlapping gore alteration. And, a reduced gore height may help. Jaimie at www.braobsessed.com has helped several of us with a similar shape (close-set, highly projected, short roots).
You might be able to wear Ewa Michalak, but her gores are "one size fits all" and too wide for me.
This informative blog post may be helpful to you: https://thepetitecollegiate.wordpress.com/category/bra-fit/
Her "hand bra" helped me understand why 79 bras I've tried do not fit; helpful :-)

Thanks, DressTheTwins, for some good ideas! - i hadnt had my coffee and came out a bit more negative than I meant to. But yes, there are padded seamed bras. I'm not in your size range so I have no experience.

dbmamaz You were spot on: I'm impressed with your "pre-coffee" mental function ;-) ;-)

I contacted Jaimie and have three bras to try coming in the mail. Wish me luck!

helpfulTo be frank, I've never seen this bra fitting on _anyone_ so far, no matter what size range or boob shape.
I even tried it myself once and it was a desaster.
The Porcelain Elan seems to be a bra that is _very_ difficult to fit.If you are at the beginning of your fitting journey (and have no idea what size and/or shapes fit you), it's best to skip molded bras altogether, and stick with seamed bras, as they will adapt better to your boob shape and make it easier to tell where the fit issues are.
Have you ever tried Cleo Marcie or Lucie? Both are considered good "beginner" bras as they are true to size for the most part (band width may vary a little between colorways, but cup size is stable) and can accomodate many different shapes.
Marcie usually fits better on FoT (full on top) shapes, Lucie suits FoB (full on bottom) shapes better.
I'd suggest to try these first, to get an idea about your size and shape before moving on.Updated on June 4, 2016 Flag this

helpfulI have a similar problem with the 28GG - Cleo » Maddie Moulded T-shirt Bra (7201) . The size is ok but the area where the cup meets the strap doesn't lay flat against my body. I think it's because of the shape of the cup, specifically the "winged" end (the part that curves up to meet the straps), which doesn't agree with every breast shape.
I would look for a bra that is more balconette-shaped, so that the cups have a more horizontal shape and meet directly with the straps, without the little "wing" on top of it (because the straps will more likely adapt, while the "wing" is too stiff). I hope I managed to explain myself!
As for the rest, I agree that in the first picture the bra looks too low on your body, so you could try lifting your breasts while wearing the bra and placing the underwire right under the breasts. I know it sounds obvious but I've noticed that some styles are sort of harder to put on, especially if they're somewhat "wrong" for your shape.Updated on June 1, 2016 Flag this

Thank you, MerryMomoka! I appreciate all of the help.

I did swoop and scoop. That was the *best* I could get it.
What is an IMF?
I really need a 33 F and a half in this bra (English size). I actually can't fasten the 32 at all. I can't even come close to filling the 34FF; this is the 34F. Clearly I need to try another model and/or make, but I haven't a clue which one.
