Bra fitting help » Digs into sternum
Freya » Gem Half Cup (1363) » 28F 28:7
I love this bra but it digs into the sternum. One cup smaller would not fit because my boobs are full at the sides but not on top. Seems I have a wide rooted shape. Has someone a suggestion if there are bras for me that would fit better? Half cups I guess ...😊

helpfulJust wanted to say ouch on the gore digging in. That is the worst. The band only stetches to 26.4 on a 28? This could be causing cup distortion and also causing the wires to be pushing in a distorted way. You might want to consider a 30 band given your comfortable measurement of 29.5.

helpfulI agree you will prefer a much wider gore--you have a decent amount of separation so you will be way more comfortable in underwires that are closer to where your breast root starts. Do a search by measurements!
I agree with roxanne that 28 is probably overkill even for Freya. Try 30! You want a band that's only as tight as necessary to avoid ride-up, not as tight as you can tolerate. Some people are fine with very tight bands in terms of comfort, but in terms of how the cups fit, it will be a problem because super tight bands will distort the wires, the cup shape, everything.Updated on August 2, 2016 Flag this

helpfulYeah, i think the gore is too narrow, probably. Not sure what brands have wider gores - i have the opposite problem, and i'm not in your size range. You can also sometimes bend a gore out, but sometimes its the height, too - a lower gore might be more comfortable for you. Oy, and this IS a half cup?

different brands fit differently, so its hard to say

Bratabase tends to overestimate depth required by just a hair... However molded bras fit "smaller" so I would not be all that surprised if you had to go up to 30FF in Juna, while wearing much smaller cups in unlined.

helpfulI am not very experienced with fitting issues, I am on here asking for help usually! but I have full on bottom boobs and narrow shoulders, I have the Juna bra and it is good for lack of volume on the top, plus I don't find the central gore too high, I also have narrow shoulders and find a lot of balconnettes styles the strap slips this doesn't happen with the Juna. I would say though it isn't a bra I would want to do anything strenuous in! Sorry meant to post this under wendybiens suggestion about Juna

Yes, it's a half cup.
Just tried the bra suggestions after having done the measurement of my breast shape & bratabase says: Cleo Juna 30FF e.g.
I had this bra in 32DD and it was the worst choice ever. However FF sounds so big to me that I can't imagine it will fit well.
