Bra fitting help » Fot, bra gapping, back fat

Issue resolved
No longer fits the same
Original problem
This bra fit fine once I scooped and swooped but as soon as I moved everything would come back out and leave a big gap on top. I also seem to have lots of fat coming out of the back which I couldn't quite get in the photos. Have tried this bra in 30D and 28DD. 28DD was small in many ways and with the 30D the center gore was very comfortable but the wires hurt me on the sides. Without scooping and swooping I could fill out the bottom of the cups and the top did not have quadboob. After scooping and swooping I got quadboob and I feel like there isn't enough room at the bottom of the cup for the bottom tissue.
I've been told that I have shallow breasts but shallow bras are too shallow for me. I think I'm more of Full on top, tall root, average root, and slightly close-set. In terms of how projected I am I have no idea. At this point idk what to try anymore.

helpfulI had similar issues with Marcie a few years ago when I first wore it (shortly after getting started with bra fitting) - it looked fine after scoop&swoop, but the tissue just wouldn't stay put, and wandered into my armpits and to the back side throughout the day. Frustrating!
For me, it turned out that this was an issue with tissue migration (TM) - when one starts wearing well-fitting bras, breast tissue starts moving from one's back and sides to the front, and stays there.
This process takes a few months. For me, the solution was to drop Marcie for a while and look for different bras altogether - ones with wider wires, and enough room in the cups to make tissue migration happen.
I loved bras like Cleo Maddie and Juna at that time, my Masquerade Georgiana, and also Freya Halfcups with vertical seams like Patsy. Ewa Michalaks PL bras were perfect too (and I guess the new M bra works similarly well).Once my TM was done, I had gone up 1 cup size and was able to wear Marcie in that new size just perfectly - the wires were wider and kept my tissue contained, and I had enough projection to fill the cups. I sister sized up in the band for comfort with the center gore, but newer Marcie colorways run slightly looser so that might not be necessary for eveyone.

No intention to hijack here, but bracrastination , have you any links to good tissue migration tutorials...? Thanks!

berexxa Not sure what you mean with tutorials, it just happens or it does not?

helpfulWell the first thing I can say is that Marcie runs quite generous in the cups, so this is simply too large (8.8 inches deep when you probably only need 8"). It sounds like the 30D was closer to the correct volume for you in theory, but too narrow OR too tall a wire for your side tissue.
Your breast shape doesn't look unusual for your size range, I agree with your assessment of it.

helpfulMy size is about the same, but Marcie does work for me. http://bra.pe/IK23/. Bottom line, it's all about the boob shapes, lol! Oddly, I have shallow boobs,,,You said you are FOT but you don't look it at all in this bra. You are sunk so low in those cups you appear shallow! I think this style is just too wide for you....the cups are too wide, and the straps are much too far apart on your frame. I wonder if Freya bras would be a better fit for you? Or a Panache Tango? (I LOVE Tango, but no matter what size I try....and I've tried many....I get quad boob. The cups can be folding over because they're so large on me, and still I get quad boob. http://bra.pe/IID3/)

Thanks! This has so much information. Based on what I read I believe I have close-set, u-shaped root, slightly center full, high-set, tall roots, full-on-top, averagely projected, self-supported breasts.
