It fit! Users confirmed that I have found my first properly fitting bra
Original problem
I have always worn bras that were too big and now I am in search of my true size. This seems nearly perfect, but I wanted to check. You can't really tell in the pictures, but my nipples are in the upper lacy part rather than the lower part (I know everyone has different nipple placement, so not sure that this matters). I am wondering if this looks like it fits, or if I should try 28DD, but I'm worried I would get gaping with that size since I'm not full on top.

helpfulHi again! I am making the rounds this morning.
I had two of these and I really liked them. I think the fit on you is great. You might also see if you can find the plunge version of this, I haven't tried it but word is that it gives a more rounded shape in this size range.
I'm kind of kicking myself for getting rid of mine after my shape shifted. I'll bet I would fit into them again with my most recent measurement change. Although I do remember that they were slightly more scratchy in the band than other bras, and I am prone to sensitivity, but the fit and support was great.

helpfulIf you feel happy then that's what matters most. It is hard to tell from photos since it's a black bra, and I cannot see any major issues from my computer monitor, but really, go with your own feelings on this one. If you like it then it's a keeper.

helpfulI agree with Saskia, the placement of the Bratabase logo (not your fault obviously!) and the black color make it tricky to see exactly what's going on, but it looks like a pretty decent fit in the cups from what I can see. Nipple placement, as you correctly guessed, really does not matter AT ALL.
Does the wire feel comfortable at the side? After wearing it for a day, do you have any soreness there? If all that is comfy, the cup volume is probably good.
I'm not sure 100% of 28 bands will be snug enough for you since you are really quite petite around the ribs. but if you can do a few jumping jacks, touch your toes a few times, etc. and it is not riding up, it should be good.

I have essentially no squish on my ribcage, so I think if I managed to find a 26 band it would be uncomfortable. This one feels good and snug, but that's speaking from a brand new bra, not worn in. Thank you for the insight! I've been wearing it around the house and it feels great. I think I've just never seen what a properly fitting bra looks like on me, so I'm still figuring it out =)

well you don't want it to feel too tight even when it's new. So this is good. A properly fitting bra on you can look a variety of different ways, but this is definitely a normal appearance for this type of bra in a good size.

Thank you for all of your help =) I actually realized after ordering that the full cup and plunge are two different models, so I would like to try the plunge too! I will check out your bras as well since we have a similar size.
