Issue resolved
Cups were too small and wrong shape. Did not fit
Original problem
I have always worn bras that are too big, so now I am in search of my true size. I believe I am a 28D.
TLBC specializes in petite bras, they cut on a smaller scale. The 30 band fits like a 28, but I think the cups may be truer to size. I get a slight quad boob effect, especially with the foam cookies and my nipples are right on the inner edge of the cup. I think I will have to try a 30C (sister sized from 28D). Thoughts?

helpfulThis looks too small as well as too shallow for your shape, which looks fairly average projection for your size range. I'm not sure the 30C will be quite right because this design seems to assume a lot of space between the breasts and a more side-heavy distribution of breast tissue, whereas you are pretty evenly full at center and sides; however, it's definitely worth a shot. Alternatively, you may actually just need a whole 2 cups up (30D) since this is not only quadding, but also too narrow AND too low coverage... that's a lot of "too small" indicators all at once which sometimes, though not always, indicates you need more than 1 cup up.

helpfulHello boob twin!
A cup that is 4.8" wide and 5.5" deep is considered to be very wide and shallow. 4.8" wide happens to be within my comfort zone width wise, and I think you may find the same if you can find more depth in a cup. The lack of depth wouldn't be squishing your tissue out to the sides.
I don't think TLBC makes this in a 30D, but if they did, I think it would be a shape mismatch. The wires would go very far back on your sides.
Are your looking specifically for a moulded t-shirt type bra? I haven't tried any lately so hopefully someone will have suggestions for you. If you are more open to bra types, take a look at my bras.
If you are on eBay there are some Mimi Holliday bras (available from the UK so have international search enabled) in 28D for around $30-40 that would probably work for you, that's how I scored my two most successful bras since my recent measurement change.

Hey, thanks! Yeah, I wasn't sure about the shape of this bra, but I liked the simple style. I'm actually leaning toward non-padded bras. I will definitely check out the one you mentioned!

helpfulThere is definitely some quadding going on, which is an indication that the bra is too small in cup volume. It's nice that TLBC bras often (but not always) run small in the band; this one stretches out to only 28" yet it's labeled as a 30 band. If your size is 28D, definitely try 30C in this bra and see how it works.

Thank you. I suspected this bra may not be the right shape, but I liked the simple style and wanted to try it
