Bra fitting help » Band feels good, cup okay?
Freya » Faye Plunge Balcony Bra (4201) » 38G 38:9
So far my best fitting bra but the lace gaps at the top of the cup. Do I need to go down a cup size?

helpfulYes, I would size down. Is this band staying put? In picture #3 it looks like it is riding up quite a bit, meaning you also need a smaller band. If you want to go down 1 cup volume and 1 band size that will put you in a 36G.

Pulling doesn't mean much especially if it is settling too high i.e. where your back is wider. What you want to verify is if it is staying at an appropriate height i.e. level with your underboob crease and horizontal (parallel to the floor) when on the loosest setting on the hook and eye tab. If it's staying down and is horizontal then you're good to go.

helpfulIf the band is comfortable and not riding up when fastened on the first row of hooks, it's probably a good fit for you. I can't tell if the lace sticking up is a design issue or a fit issue. In some pics it looks like it's just the decorative edge of the lace that sticks up. Do you also have cup wrinkling and gapping? If so you can try sizing down to 38FF.

Also, comparing this bra to your other fit requests, this looks like the best fitting one. I think you should be looking for bras with this height gore and this width wires and that will help to prevent the gore being pushed out by your breasts where they touch at the top and you will get better projection.

I did not see any gapping or wrinkling so perhaps this is just a style/design issue? Thank you for the suggestions. I will search for similar gore and wire sizes as you suggested.

helpfulIt looks like you've maybe got some center-fullness going on. https://brasticmeasures.wordpress.com/2015/01/04/fit-issues-center-heaviness-is-a-dominant-shape-trait/
Or at least, I have center fullness, and your top-down photo (#4) looks very familiar to me. This gore high and width or even a little narrower is a good plan.
If you dislike the shape you're getting from top-down, I would also avoid bras with _side support slings_, as that's what's squaring you off on the sides here...
(PS: if this fit issue is resolved, you might want to close it. )

I tried it on again and moved around. The band stayed in place. I could only pull it a little from my body.
