Freya » Deco Delight Moulded Plunge Bra (1561) » 30G 30:9
Issue resolved
Returned and still looking for abtf.
Original problem
I'm in month three of trying to find abtf with no success yet. I've mistakingly worn 34d since breast feeding 3 babies.
In 32F, my latest calculated size, I've tried curvy Kate Florence, Cleo Nyla, panache fern, Cleo Juna and panache Andorra full cup. The Andorra fits well but makes me look way too pointy. It doesn't bring the girls front and center at all.
I've tried bras in other sizes based on incorrect measurements- Cleo Hettie in 36DD then 34E; Cleo Kali in 34DD then 34E; panache tango in 34E; Freya deco delight in 34DD; Cleo Lucy in 34DD; Cleo Marcie in 34DD; panache porcelain in 34DD; panache Elsa in 34DD; there's always an issue!
I'm FOB with very soft tissue and close set. I have always fallen out of plunge styles in the middle. I have wide and tall roots. With almost every bra I've ever worn, I have gapping where the cup attaches to the strap. That continues to be an issue in my latest search. Please help!
I'm Pretty sure for this bra the band is too small. Because of comments on the fit of this bra and limited size availability I ordered 30G. Obviously it's not working for me but I don't know where to go from here. I would try some polish brands but am not sure which cut and size I would need. Also, I really haven't figured out where to order those and if they are returnable.
Please help!

helpfulThis bra was meant for tall rooted and/or FOT types. It is not the best for FOB types. I recommend that you go back to 32F, maybe 32FF for sizes, as it seems that 30 bands, 34 bands, and 36 bands are not working.
I do recommend Polish brands if all the UK bras you have tried are too far apart spaced. Certain styles by EM will have overlapping underwires at the gore, creating the narrowest possible spacing between the breasts. Yes, EM accepts returns: "We accept returns sent back within 14 days from receipt of the order."

helpfulI would think maybe the Panache Jasmine or Loretta would be a possibility too in a band size up. Kris line is a polish brand with a little more wire with as well. Personally if you are stateside and have Amazon prime I'd start with more bras from there and unlined ones until you narrow down your size more. Good luck!

helpfulI would suggest a 32 band for sure and a cup size down but I also think you need an overlapping gore. Hoping someone with a similar shape will chime in. Comexim can do an overlapping gore and a reduced cup height as customizations. You just ask

helpfulI am so sorry that this has been so frustrating for you! It is definitely frustrating for everyone, but this seems a bit much!
Here are a couple of websites you can order from.
Ewa Michalak - I would recommend a BM cut in probably a 70FF or 75F. They have pretty tight bands, so some people prefer to band up. Also, their cup sizing is done in cm not inches so I think you would be a cup size up, but you may prefer 70F or 75E. If the straps are too far apart for you, don't worry, lots of people find that. If they are only just too far apart, you could try an SM style instead. The BM and SM styles are very consistent in sizing and can give people a good grasp on your true size. They also have a return policy (as noted above), and so long as you put it in the mail within 14 days, they don't care how long it takes to get there.
http://www.ewa-michalak.pl/eng_m_BRAS_BM-Unpadded-Balconette-Bras-163.htmlMy next suggestion would be to try a Gorsenia Soft cup (underwire, but no padding) in the standard construction - not the half cup (ie. Emilly, Eva, Sissi, Manuelle, etc) in a 70G which directly converts to a 32F. Also any one of Ava 1410, 1407, 1421, 1453, 1449, 1412 which all have the same construction in 70G (32F). Both of these can be ordered on amazon through Other Eden. This company has excellent customer service, returns, shipping speeds, and prices.
https://www.amazon.ca/s?me=AKI30Z78V9GHV&merchant=AKI30Z78V9GHV&qid=1479757150Other Eden also stocks Gaia, Ava and Gaia both have excellent ranges in "half-padded" bras. If you can find your size in Gorsenia, Gaia, or Ava, they should all be interchangeable. Some of their models have narrower wires like Gaia Annika, which I would recommend you avoid. And if the centre gores are too wide and actually painful, then post back and this sizing info should help peoplle find similar sizes in brands with narrow gores.
Good luck!

helpfulYeah this bra can be difficult to fit because the cups are super molded/stiff and quite tall. I would also recommend Polish brands! I think both Ewa Michalak and Comexim are returnable unless they are custom sizes/cuts (or have other alterations). Return could be expensive though, but you can also list them here if they don't fit. There are also a couple of US/Canadian stockists if you live over there: Zathiya, Wellfitting and Bra Obsessed.
Even without alterations both EM and Comexim have usually very narrow gores. I think that a half cup might be a good idea, because they have a bit wider wires (plunges are super narrow), shorter cups and are usually good for FoB. I would guess around 75H (plunge) or 75HH (half cup) for Comexim, maybe 70FF/75F for EM (estimated based on you being about two cup sizes bigger than me). Both brands have usually a bit tighter bands than UK bras.
Also note: Comexim's 2-part (single-seam) half cups are very wide and shallow. It seems that you still need a decent amount of projection, so the 3-part half cups (3HC) or Ewa's CHP might be better. Good luck!

helpfulCan I just chime in with a shape comment? You may have breast tissue higher up but if you have wide AND tall roots you'd be shallow, you're not, you have more of a short root, in a well fitting bra your boobs will take on a "b" shape from the side, and not have that ski slope shape of a classic tall root. The strap gap is a normal thing for short roots and is not a fitting issue in itself. Posting here as it seems to be your most recent post. I will leave it to others for help on Polish bras!

helpfulHi there!
Can you tell me more about your issues with the 32F Cleo Nyla you tried? Now, about the Deco:
The stretched band measurement is smaller than your comfortable ribcage measurement, so this one is too small in the band. This is causing your strap problem (a too-large cup size may contribute to this as well - an overly tight band is conceiling bad cup fit).
Try 32 bands instead (and perhaps 34 if a bra runs particularly tight).Next, your boobs look rather soft and are falling to the center in this plunge shaped bra. So it's a good idea to avoid plunge shapes altogether and stick to balconettes or halfcups instead. Those will help keeping your boobs in place and avoid overflow at the center.
A good "beginner's bra" in your size range would be Cleo Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831), a balconette shape. The band tightness varies with color/season, so make sure to check out some reviews before deciding to order a 32 or 34.
Same applies for Cleo Lucy Balconnet Bra (5851), a slightly different shape.
I'd really recommend ordering these both before heading for Polish bras. They're good indicators for your shape and size.As always, ordering several different sizes of the same bra to try on and compare is a very good idea, if you're able to do that. It's basically the only way to figure out whether you're having a shape problem with a bra (= this bra is incompatible with your shape and doesn't work in any size), or just a size problem.
Good luck with your search!

I agree that you should try a Cleo Marcie. Or a Lily (discontinued) if you can find one. One issue with your Deco is that you ordered a 30G instead of a 30FF, the cup size equivalent for a 32F. The Deco Charm and other more plungey styles might work better in the gore area because of your close-set breasts. Some half cups might work better for your shorter roots. Unpadded styles avoid strap gap.
I noticed you had a close fit with the Juno. Did you consider trying a couple of sizes there? And the Patsy I think is just too tight in the band and its warping the wires. The center fire might be too wide in that bra in the right size, but I think you'd have more luck in a 32F.
The Kali is too big in the cups and band. Definitely try Marcie/Lily. Have you tried any Curvy Kate beside Florence? CK is great for short roots. Dreamcatcher maybe?

joanna1970 I am still learning! Others have made the same comment about tall roots so I'm guessing I don't have tall roots after all! I based my assumption about having tall roots on what I saw with the "push test". However, with the strap gap issue I've decided I must be short rooted.
