Bra fitting help » Gore not tacking, straps too far apart
Cleo » Morgan Moulded Balconnet T-shirt Bra (9361) » 28F 28:7
Issue resolved
As per the suggestions given, I've had since tried, and had a bit better luck with unlined bras (still no magic fit...think I'll have to bite the bullet and try purchasing a Polish model).
Original problem
This is the first bra I have decided to keep (out of dozens of department store tries and a half dozen Amazon purchase/returns). It is super cute, and my breasts are well contained/supported in it, but it is still slightly uncomfortable. The straps are a bit too wide, and dig into the front of my arms/chest (?), the gore is about a half cm from tacking (because it's too wide?), and the band is already set on the tightest hook. I think I've found my correct size range, but perhaps not the best style/shape for comfort. From looking at all of the fitting/breast info, I believe that I am full on top and in the center with average projection.

helpfulYou are so close in fit! You really look like a great shape for Comexim as they are more projected and if you need it, you can also get an overlapping gore depending on how close set your breasts are. Anything in Polish styles will likely suit you... Ewa Michalak is another fantastic brand for your shape.

PL in Ewa seems to work well for close set breasts. I hear you on being hesitant but I will say I had a heckuva time with bras until I personally found Ewa. Now I have her PL, S, CHP and about to try her BM cut. Nothing else fits the same. Comexim for me has worked best in 3HC but for your shape the regular cut might be fine. If you do decide to take the plunge do email their staff. Both have been fantastic on size recommendations. PayPal currently allows refunds on return international shipping if something doesn't fit and you need to return it.

helpfulIt looks like you're in the right size, but the shape is off! Cleo moulded balconies such as Morgan run shallow in the cups and have very little projection. Some people size up in the cup to compensate, but that would very likely give you gaping at the top (also a common problem with this cut).
Try a more projected bra instead - Cleo Marcie suits FoT boobs with average projection well. Stick to the 28F size range and consider a 30E for comfort if a bra runs particularly tight. Your profile tells me that you tried some Marcie clones in 30DD - which is simply too small for you telling from how Morgan fits.

Thanks so much for the input! I'm thinking I ought to stick with the 28 bands, for now. While the Morgan doesn't seem to creep up in back, I can easily stretch it to fit my hand underneath the back. I will definitely try to find the Marcie (and friends) style in a more appropriate size...it just seems like such a unicorn to find! It is so obvious to me now why so many women are wearing incorrectly sized bras; not only do we have to find the correct cup and band size, but we've also got to worry about cup spacing, wing height, fabric type, number of seams...oy vey. It's exhausting!!!

CheekyPossum: Hang in there, you're pretty close! Fortunately, Cleo bras are quite similar in terms of wing height and wire width.
I found that most unpadded Cleos (e.g. Marcie) used to run tighter than the padded ones. I'm usually a 30E, but could easily get away with wearing a 32DD in these.
However, more recent colorways (starting from AW2014) seem to be an exception from that rule. I definitely need a 30E in those :/Btw, the Cleo Mimi Padded Balconnet Bra (8091) might also be worth a try if you're looking for padded bras. It looks similar to Maddie at first sight, but it has seamed cups with quite a lot of projection. Many reviewers say it's even comparable to Polish bras. Great style for projected/FoT as well!

helpfulI agree this isn't a great shape for you and that you would probably prefer an unlined Cleo, as they're more projected and allow better room for center fullness. Beyond that, though, just looking at the numbers (assuming your measurements are up to date) I would also not expect a 9" perimeter boob to fit well or get a tacking gore in an 8" deep cup! You look either naturally firm, or perhaps augmented, but in either of these cases you need a bra cup that closely matches your own horizontal breast perimeter--you can't and shouldn't compress implants nor dense, firm breast tissue too much. So look for bras in sizes where the cups are 9" deep or so.

Wendy,
They are augmented boobies...and they're rather new to me (less than two months). Previously, my breasts required a VERY different kind of fit, as they were super soft and "empty"...I always use to tease that they could slither out the top of any bra when I would bend forward. I think, perhaps, I'm hunting for some of the styles that would have fit my pre-augmentation boobs better. Not knowing what to look for, I have been hesitant to order any full price bras, and have only tried the unlined models in bras that were obviously incorrectly sized. I do believe I am back to the drawing board. I really appreciate your suggestions. I'm not ready to quit on my quest for a perfect fit quite yet!

Hah, I don't know if you're actually trying to fit your previous boobs, but any time we grow (whether naturally or through surgery) it takes time to get used to the new size! You may also be grappling with the fact that implants don't quad as easily, so a too-small cup doesn't immediately create that telltale indent you got previously to surgery, and you need to learn to spot a whole new set of cues. I would scope out unlined Cleos that you like, find the close-to-9 inch deep sizes, and try Amazon if you're in the United States. The free exchanges are hard to beat!

Since I'm still trying to figure out what sizing these boobies need, I've been so hesitant to purchase either Comexim or Ewa Michalak. They are so pricy, and I struggle to justify the expense when there is SUCH a great chance of a poor fit. I'm going to keep my eye out for re-sale items, and cross my fingers that I can catch something on sale. Are there any particular styles in either of the Polish brands that you would recommend?
