Bra fitting help » Need to sister size down?
Cleo » Mimi Padded Balconnet Bra (8091) » 30DD 30:5
The first two times I tried this on, I thought it was a cup size too big, but I have now revised my assessment and think it may be a band size too big, instead. While I was taking pics, and the top edge of the bra was floating hilariously away from my body, I tried forcing the gore to tack and discovered that the cup volume is actually about perfect. I was wearing it on the loosest hooks, and it definitely fits looser than my Kali. When I had the bright idea to adjust both the band and the straps much tighter, I got a much better fit! Check out that clothed profile pic! I was pretty happy. I think I'm going to send this back and try a sister size down. What do you all think? Any other bra suggestions?

helpfulwell, from your measurements, yeah - if you can find 28s, do it. Even your loose is smaller than 30, you arent a 30.

It may encourage the cup to lay flatter. For instance, it may pull the wires closer to your body which may pull the top of the cup closer, too.

helpfulI have this same bra, and its band is much looser than most Cleos. I can only wear it on its tightest hooks, while I have Marcies that are over a year old and still on the loosest set.
If you otherwise like it, definitely sister size down in the band relative to your normal Cleo size.

helpfulI find Mimi's band to fit looser than most of my other Cleos, so you could probably be happy with a 28E.

I was afraid to try Panache/Cleo in 28 because they sometimes run tight. For example, my Cleo Kali is much tighter than this one, and I wouldn't want a 28. But my question is this: Is sister sizing down likely to make the cup lay better?
