Bra fitting help » Too small. Advice for a better one for potentially high impact exercise?

Issue resolved
Just placed an order for a Shock Absorber through Amazon. Weirdly enough, their stock on 28s look really low and I can't see any 28s on their official site, either.
In any case, the one I'm getting is super cheap at 6-7GBP but the shipping is 10GBP! If I bought two extra (I wanted to try on bras and return them), the shipping would've gone up to 30GPB, which is more than double the cost of the bras themselves. Fingers crossed that this one fits; some other people on ABTF advised me to go up two sister sizes, which puts me at 28DD.
Original problem
I really just think this is a size too small. This was bought way back when I was settling for 28Ds but before I knew a whole lot about sister sizing, so when the lady fit me into a 30B and she said she could alter it to a 28 band, I said yes in an instant.
Technically, I can kind of get away without scooping and not have the quad, but that defeats the purpose of a good fit (and a supportive one, as this band is loose enough to move around and ride up past my IMF which makes it itchy).
Any suggestions of what sizes I should try? I prefer something that's tight like a 24 or 26 band, as my usual size is a 24F/26E in padded Ewas. I heard Shock Absorbers could fit like that. Are there any models in particular? I don't have a preference for wired or unwired as long as it keeps my breasts where they should be. Thanks!

helpfulIt's really tough to find 24F and 26E, and even the companies that I know of that make these sizes don't make sports bras. I guess try 28DD and go with the tightest band you can find. The following brands make sports bras in this size: Panache, Shock Absorber, Freya, Marks & Spencer Angel, and Royce. I don't know about Marks & Spencer Angel or Royce, but Panache, Shock Absorber, and Freya sports bras in 28 bands often run small in the band (only 26" or 27").

helpfulThe best I know is Enell. Here is a great review about custom sizing:

The thing I'm worried about with the Enell is that both of my measurements are smaller than their 00. It's one thing to ask for a band size of 1 and a bust size of 3, but I think I'm completely out of range.

helpfulThis particular Shock Absorber runs small: http://www.bratabase.com/browse/shock-absorber/active-multi-sports-4490/
I have 2 in the 28 band and both run closer to 24's.Updated on October 31, 2016 Flag this

Thanks! I just placed my first order on Amazon, although it looks like they're low on stock on 28s. Maybe they're phasing them out? It was ridiculously cheap... but the shipping ended up costing more! It was like a 6:10 ratio between bra and shipping. I don't see 28 bands on their official site, either.

helpfulI agree this is a full cup size too small. Nonwired bras ought to be a very forgiving fit in terms of shape so for you to have so much quadding, you just need a bigger cup. Anita usually runs small in the cup btw so overall I would not recommend that you go down from your theoretical sister size. I think a larger cup volume, altered in the band, would work fine for you in the same brand.

Before I took the plunge in custom ordering 24 bands, I wore 28s and bought exclusively from Brastop. All had varying degrees of success. One Curvy Kate unlined bra in a 28D made me quad hard so I went and got a Tutti Rouge bra in 28DD, but that gaped badly. Even though 28DD is my theoretical sister size, I've had a bit of a mental block on ordering that size again haha. We'll see how this one goes!

Anita REALLY runs small. I am 30F/32E-ish now and have 32G Anitas that still fit without gaping or wrinkling.
-
I actually didn't find that to be the case for mine. Could be a fluke. It stretched to a TTS 30 before alterations, plus a 30B is two cup sizes down from the closest theoretical sister size.
-
oh yes sorry I was unclear the bands are stretchy as hell. I didn't address that since I know you are altering anyway. I was referring to the cups only. In a nonwired bra the cup fit is more forgiving as I said but IMO you do need more room in the cup

I do know that the places that do offer 24 or 26 don't make sports bras, which is unfortunate. And Shock Absorbers are known to sometimes run small, it's just that I have no idea which models do that. Freya and Panache is a new thing to me, though! Thanks!
