Issue resolved
Exchanged the bra.
Original problem
Just bought this bra today after returning a 34D that was too loose in the band and riding up. The lady insisted this one fit (as she insisted the last one fit). Her shop doesn't have my size available (or anything close) so I think she is trying to put me in bras that don't fit (she tried to put me in a 34B. I told her flat out a 34 band will not work for me). I obviously have quad boob in this. The center gore is also separated from my chest.

helpfuloh HELL no! That lady needs to go back to bra school. In many brands I think you would be better off in a 30 (for snug-fitting brands, 32 might work since you are very lean around the ribs) and you need a cup that is around 8" deep, not 6.5 like this one. Tsk tsk tsk

helpfulA 32C is two cup volumes smaller than a 34D. If the 34D's band was too large but the cup volume was just right, try 32DD. If the 34D was too large in the band AND cup, try 32D. A 32D is one cup volume smaller than 34D.
So definitely stay in 32 bands and try 32D and 32DD from now on.

look at her measurements tho - they say 30

honeslty many of us do better buying bras on line. amazon does free returns on some

I have another Marie Jo bra in a 32D which fits. However this shop doesn't have that size. Nor a 32DD. Certainly not a 30 anything lol. The lady said there isn't enough demand for those types of sizes... It looked alright in the store but once I wore it around the house and put some inserts into it (to give cleavage since it's not padded) I got the quad boob.
She said the bra fit amazingly... This is the second time she's recommended a poor fitting bra. I'm going to look silly going back AGAIN to return a bra (not to mention the shop is an hour away). And they only do exchange or credit. I could ask her to order another size I suppose. And hopefully that one fits since each model of Marie Jo bras supposedly fits a bit differently.

Dont buy any more bras at that store!! If they keep selling you bras that dont fit, they arent worth wasting your time at imo
-
Yeah I'm not going to. I'll see if she can order in another size because I can't get my money back but I won't go there again. Unfortunately there aren't many bra shops around.

The closest bra shop to me wont take returns ever at all. But if you order from amazon, they do take returns. So I never buy anything from the bra shop

after so many bad experiences in real life stores with fitters, i'd say try you luck online like dbmamaz mentioned. i hate not using local stores, but so many just don't do a good job....
we have similar measurements so i'd go for a 32D/32DD or if you like a tighter band, a 30DD/30E might work also. looks like you have close set breast too, so look for bras with a lower gore/bridge. -
Any good brands to recommend on Amazon?
-
Boobzerella it depends on what country your in, Amazon has different sellers for different countries. If I wear you and you wanted some basic bras, I'd probably go to Marks and Spencers website, they have free shipping on higher orders and have a great return policy. Their bands can be a little stretchy, so I go down a size if you want it to be really firm. Even their "full cup" molded bras fit my close set breasts and they are cheap.

I'm in Canada. Shipping from the US is getting ridiculous and they've started charging duty and custom handling fees on items I've ordered like 100 times before. Amazon.ca selection of bras is fairly pathetic.
-
yuck, that sucks. i live in a "bra desert" as well. wish i had more places to suggest for ya. :/
-
oh i just remembered, if you live in canada, then you could order from https://braandcorsetsupplies.com/ if you are feeling creative you could sew your own bra. i buy supplies from them, but live in the USA so shipping is crazy expensive. might try your luck on a pattern they sell and a fabric kit? :)

helpfulHi!
Ex- Bra Specialist from Victoria's Secret. What you're looking for is called your 'sister size'. If the cup in the 34D fit but the band did not you would go to a 32DD.
Rule of thumb for sister sizing : if you go down a band, add a cup. If you go up a band, subtract a cup.
Gore (center piece between cups) should always lie flat against chest. Utilize sister sizing to achieve such. For example: If cups fit but gore still isn't laying flat, go up a band and down a cup
Also, smaller band* = better support = BETTER CLEAVAGE
*All too often women go for the bigger band and start their brand new bras on the last hook just to avoid 'back rolls' or bulging. All this achieves is saggy looking breasts (bc cups are too far apart) and the straps falling non-stop (bc band is too wide on torso)
Hope this helps

Yeah she argued with me that she's been fitting bras for 20 years and knows what she's doing. She barely even looked at it lol. I think she just didn't want to admit that she had nothing in my size. It was quite funny that she thought I would fit into a B cup.
