Chantelle » C Magnifique Unlined Underwire Bra (1891) » 95F 42:6
I'm not sure if it's better to put a request on this bra, that fits really well, or the other bra (Panache Tango) that's close but not quite. In general, I've found this one to fit rather well and comfortably. I was hoping that one of you other lovely ladies that know all things bras might be able to recommend some other brand/styles to try.
I've spent most of my life so utterly over busted that I just settled with whatever I could kind of almost squeeze, and gave up beyond that. When you're a 42N (well, bigger, but it's very difficult to find even that) you only have like 3 options, you make do. Now I'm almost 6 months post-breast reduction, and I'm MUCH smaller, and now discovering more problems (I'm smaller, but shape seems to be difficult) because now there are a crazy number of options with the right size label, but don't actually work.
I've put my measurements on my account, and have included measurements of several of the bras I've tried. From what I can tell, in general, I'm a 42DD or DDD. I think the biggest problem is the wide root. Wide root, but not enough boob (YAY! never thought I'd be able to say that!) to fill most of the cups with the right sized wire.
This particular bra doesn't have any related/recommended others. I've tried the advanced search based on the bra measurements, but I get the feeling I don't actually know what I'm doing.

helpfulCongratulations on having so many more choices now! I'm not in your size range and have no suggestions, but wanted to say that it looks like you might be somewhat full-on-bottom now - I think some of the 'not enough to fill the cup' issue could be just because you are full on bottom, so its harder to fill a cup that is generous on the top-half.
Hopefully someone will come with better ideas.

helpfulThis particular Chantelle is actually a minimizer so it has cups that are wider and shallower than most other types of designs. Since it's such a good fit on you, try a search by measurements entering the same cup depth and width!

Ooh, that helps. So maybe minimizes in similar size. When just looking at the numbers (maybe it's just a cm problem) it's hard to know how much variation is still close but not too far off.

helpfulSculptresse Kitty Full Cup (8045) showed up with similar measurements in 38G when I searched. It's discontinued but Sculptresse Gina Balconnet Bra (9495) looks like the same cut and is newly out.

Huh, I hadn't seen those. Will definitely check them out. Thanks!!

When I searched by measurements I took out the band measurement and the wire measurement. I bet if you took out the gore height and wing height you would also get more recs.

Btw this style is not minimizing at all. It gives a shape similar to Cleo Marcie on me. Very round and projected, and it has great bottom projection.

helpfulCongratulations, again. I am totally not in your size range and the only one I know of in your size that might work is discontinued 🙁. However, I think the point to remember is having had the surgery, you lost the weight, without actually losing the weight, if that makes any sense. The cup volume was cut out, rather than "shrunk." This means that you have a combination of your original breast root shape and structure, and your new cup volume. It would make sense that you find your roots wider than average for your cup size. Hopefully, you had a great surgeon and you will continue to be really happy with the results. It is not uncommon to discover assymetrical or odd shape issues, especially if your weight changes, after the fact, however. It is really tricky to tell shape characteristic from these photos, but you may find this blog helpful for figuring out your new shape traits. Good Luck!

Thanks!! Even with current choice options and quirk annoyances, it's still a billion times easier to manage day to day.
I kind of though full on bottom, according to the bend over test, I could have sworn it was about equal.
