Bra fitting help » Too tight around sides.
Panache Black » Ardour Sweetheart Moulded Bra (7951) » 28E 28:6
Issue resolved
Going to sell it.
Original problem
Store didn't have my size. Lady said the 28E would stretch out after a few wears. It felt way too tight in the store but I knew I had a strap extender so I was like hell why not. I don't fit most bras because of my 'issue with no tissue' on top. And no other black bras (I really needed a black bra) they had even remotely fit me. But even with an strap extender it's INCREDIBLY uncomfortable. It's not so much the straps in the back (with the extender I can get a good three or 4 fingers in there loosely) but the sides. It gives me hella spillage around the armpit area. I'm quite skinny btw so it's the bra, not me.
Oh I can't return the bra because of their return policy.

helpfulI would absolutely complain to the store owner. Did you pay with a bank or credit card? Sometimes you can do a chargeback if you can show that you returned the item. Just mentioning this to the business, when they have TRULY done something wrong e.g. by misleading you into buying something that would clearly never fit and that you trusted them about, can sometimes get them to see reason.
For future reference how many fingers can fit under a band often isn't a good guideline to use at all. If it feels too tight, digs in, distorts the cups, etc. it's just too tight regardless of how many fingers do or do not fit under the band. And a lean body type means you will suffer more from a tight band as there is no extra flesh to compress there. No knowledgeable, honest bra salesperson should advise a petite, lean woman to get a bra that is too small in the band.

helpfulI think this bra is too small in both cup and band. You should go to 30E. With a snug UB of 30, you should not wear a 28 band - and this one runs true to size.

Can you sell it on ebay? I've gotten pretty good prices on bras. It took awhile but they eventually sold.
I'm really sorry to hear about the returns policy. I wonder if you called and complained about how you were improperly sized to the owner, would they do anything about it?

helpfulBoth band and cups are too small, but it is mostly the cups that are too small. Given how Panache seem to stretch, I would stick with the 28 and an expander for the first couple months, but you should go up at least two cup sizes, that is contributing to the tightness you are feeling.

They actually had this labeled as a 28F. That's what they told me it was. Said it would stretch out. I get it home and see it's actually a 28E.

Yeah 30E is my usual size. The sales lady said this would stretch but even with the extender on the loosest hooks all it does is pinch me at the sides while being too loose at the back.
I'm really unhappy that I spent over $100 on a bra I can't return :( I've thought about listing it here but seems bras go for fairly cheap. The cheapest I'd sell it for is $75 Canadian ($56 USD).
