Bra fitting help » So close! (Can't get wire to stay in IMF, strap grooves)

Issue resolved
Need to try a lower/narrower gore, possibly a longer band if the cup issue is fixed.
Original problem
This bra is such a good fit -- almost no armpit muffin, beautiful round shape, and a pretty comfortable band -- except for one or two things. One, the wire just won't stay in my IMF on the inner half of each breast. I can push it up, but it won't stay there, which leads to some uncomfy settling. Also the straps are leaving grooves in my shoulders. I know that can mean one needs to size down a band (34H), but it seems hard to believe -- it's pretty tight already! I can't tell if there is any overspill on the outside edge or if that's just fat -- at this point I trust Bratabase rather more than my eyes. I do know the cup width is slightly different on the two sides, leading me to wonder if something is distorting. My measurement skills are still improving as well.
Please, tell me -- what's going on here? Is this as good as it gets, or do I need to change something?

helpfulThat band is not too big. Have you tried just loosening the straps? I know with the bra slipping down, that seems counterintuitive but it can cause grooves.
So, one thing for me thats an issue with Ewa bras is that there is not enough room for my center fullness, and my breasts try to climb out over the wires and push them down.
I do a 'revers scoop-and-swoop' where I reach in from the outside of the cup, cup my hand under the breast, and pull it outwards to fill in the outer edges of the cup. this brings the boob away from the gore, and then I can pull up the front band, pull down the back band, and feed the straps towards the back. I have to do this maneuver a few times a day, like maybe every 2-3 hours.
However, I'm still not sure the band isnt too tight. Can you try it with an extender? a too-tight band can pull the wires and flatten the cup some, again making it so you dont have quite enough room in front, and empy space at the outside edges
Should also point out I've never worn a CHP because they dont come in my size (32JJ-ish)

helpfulWhen you float in a bath or swimming pool, does your side tissue float, too? If it does float, I suggest you may want it in the cup. But, if it doesn't float, it could be home-based tissue.
Ewa Michalak several sizes too large and several sizes too small for me, all push out of my IMF. The lower gore is much too wide for my center fullness.

Love4Pollinators, it's bathing for SCIENCE! Mission accepted, I'll report back. That's very interesting about both too-large and too-small cups doing the same thing... I guess I have to solve that piece before I can be sure what volume of cup is going to work. It is so easy to default to 'this must be too big' if the problem isn't obvious overflow.

Elodie autocorrect struck again. I just now saw the "home-based" tissue. Sorry....I hope you understood, because I'm not certain I understand what I was typing.;-)

I think I got it. ;) I did experiment and it seemed floaty/movable in a way my torso pudge isn't, so I'm trying scooping and we'll see what happens.
Autocorrect is the source of many wonders, isn't it?

It is! It can generate baffling suggestions.

helpfulMy guess is that there is not enough room in the inner bottom quadrant of the bra, or that the gore is too wide at the base.

Thanks, cupandahalf. That makes two votes for a gore too wide at the bottom, which sort of makes sense when I think of how its feels to pull it up -- it only rises in the center so the cups tip, giving the front of the bra a mild circumflex shape (^) until I let go. Any recommendation for a bra to try that has lots of projection without that problem?
I am honestly not sure how I would check for enough room in the inner bottom quadrant.

One thing you could try is sewing the gore together at the bottom and see if that gives you more room: http://boobiusmaximus.livejournal.com/1474.html
Maybe Love4Pollinators has some ideas for narrower gores?

I haven't taken Ewa Michalak wires out, but many manufacturers use a flat, punched wire. Dimensionally, it is wider than round wires from Bravo Bella. Because the wire geometry effects the gore width, it has helped me to replace flat wires with round wires. However, both Comexim and Ewa Michalak have two of the widest lower gore widths. Thankfully, Comexim will narrow the lower gore for free :-) Ewa you'll have to do yourself.
Alternatively, Gorsenia has better immediate and center projection than the other two. But, Bratabase is a data desert for this brand; making purchases an experiment.
I finally submitted myself completely to wireless bras; I gave up. But, other users may have suggestions that work for you :-)

Hmm. If I do the reverse scoop the bra is uncomfortable and the armpit muffin comes back. I'll have to get an extender... holding it another inch or two open as a test doesn't look so good.
Thanks for responding.
ETA: now that I realize it, all three of you who responded have mentioned the center fullness problem, but I may not have quite understood when I first read it what you meant. Maybe climbing is going on.
