Bra fitting help » Lots of quad boob spillage, no support, and small gore gap
Victoria's Secret » Very Sexy Push-up (280-279) » 36DDD 36:6
This style bra used to be my go to bra(probably because it was one of the only ones I knew about in my size), but I've gained a lot of weight since then. My band measurement is 35.5" and the largest part of my bust is 43.5".
It lacks support and there's major boob spillage on top. I have problems with the straps carrying the weight which cause headaches and nerve pain in my neck and shoulders. I don't think I've ever had a gore that fit completely flat. The wire doesn't poke my arms, but, as in the majority of my bras, it feels like something catches under my arm. I don't know if it's the wire or boob or both.
I have read a little on proper fit, but don't think I've ever had an optimal fitting bra so it's hard to know exactly what's wrong.

helpfulTo begin with, there is no reason on earth why you should have to put up with badly fitting bras that cause pain and potentially long term damage. This bra does not fit you in many ways. Finding a bra that fits does take a little work. Unfortunately, it is harder than it ought to be give the commoness of the issue. For example, I started in 36DD, went to 34DD, then to 32DD, before finally embarking on the real search and discovering 30GG or 30J. It sounds a little ridiculous, to begin with, but the comfort and shape difference is enormous!
* correction, I miss read your tight and comfortable ribcage. defintinely go with the 34:
For starters, try something in a 34:9- either a 34I (US - one letter per cup) or a 34G (UK - double letters). VS doesn't make them. Start with Panache, Cleo, Freya, Curvy Kate, Elomi, and/or Fantasie. These can usually be found in bra boutiques worth their salts and online everywhere. Many online retailers have good returns policies, and unless you can find a really good quality boutique, even including shipping, online can be cheaper than stores. All these brands will have decent straps and are very popular so even if they don't work, they can give bratabasers a lot of very helpful information to help you find a better fit.
Start by trying to find the right size first, then you can work on things like padded vs. unpadded, wire width (cup width on this site), wire firmness, number of hooks (ideally three), Full on Top and Full on Bottom shapes (or open and closed cups), and wing and centre gore height and details.
Try to have fun with it and I hope you find something soon! Good luck!

helpfulBased on your horizontal perimeter you should look for cups with a 13-14" depth depending on how soft your tissue is and bra style. This bra is quadding so much because it is too small and squishing your tissue out every spot it can find. In a properly sized bra for your shape you will be able to achieve a tacking gore and also be able to wear a higher gore and other than plunge bras.
Based on your band photos you may be able to go to a 34 band depending on the stretch it has...bras here in bratabase will have these measurements if you find a brand you like and need to find info.
Also straps should not be what is supporting your breasts. Support comes from the band first and the straps are to pull cups tighter but not provide support. In a fitting bra the straps should be able to fall down and have very little effect on how much support your breasts have.
Have you tried the ABTF calculator for size recommendations...go here: http://www.brasizecalculator.tk

helpfulYeah, I'd say almost everything is wrong there. Starting with shopping at Victoria Secret. I was thinking a Cleo Marcie is often an easy bra to fit at a low-ish price point, but I'd say you are around a 34G and there are none cheap on amazon. There's a jasmine on amazon for $44 . . . rose print, free returns. Not padded but really its easier to figure out what fits if the bra isnt a foam dome

helpfulAgree with the others! You need at least 12" of cup depth and possibly more. You probably want a band that is no more than 35" so 34 bands will be your best match in many brands and models. This bra is made to fit a lady who has a bigger torso and smaller boobs than you. You need less band, more cup to fit your anatomy and provide the support you need!
