Issue resolved
Went up a size
Original problem
I have been looking and looking for nice bras that actually fit me, found out I am a size 30 band, and that I just have a ton of excess skin (I used to weigh about 100 pounds heavier than what I am now). The bands on almost every bra that I have purchased have been so much better at the 30, but I'm having difficulty with the cup sizes. Every bra I get is either too big or too small. I thought for sure that I am a 30E(DDD), but now I'm not so sure. Any suggestions on where I should go from here?

helpfulFirst off, congrats on the weight loss! That is hard to do and it always makes finding clothes difficult. I only lost twenty five pounds, but isn't so weird to turn around and discover that your ribcage really is that small under there?
Looking at this and the panache 28E, I think you're better in a 30 and probably a 6 or 7 index, but you decide what is more comfortable band wise. This style is obviously too small in the cup - even with a tacking gore you should not be falling out like that. But I think it is more of a shape issue than a size issue. I do not think a bigger size will help with this bra. You may be more full on bottom than on top, but you look like you have a lot of centre fullness. Here is my favourite blog on centre fullness to help you decide:
If you are more centre full, you will want styles that give more room near the gore. Plunges in general with short centre gores may not work for you because you may need some support there. Stylewise, balconettes and half cups should suit you best. They have taller centre gores than plunges, but they usually don't show in average necklines and they suit square and boatneck tops better. FYI, as you go down a band size, you need to go up a cup size in order to maintain volume so if you like the 28s, go with a 7(F).
Try another panache or cleo balconnette in 30E or 28F or a half cup style in the same or the one size up (30F/28FF) depending on particular model or brand (Curvy Kate (Tease Me) usually fit a cup small). You might try Cleo Marcie or a Freya plunge (they are tallish for plunges) or balconnette in an updated Pollyanna/Faye model (ie Paradise, Utopia, Fearne). Curvy Kate Ellace, Portia, Florence, Dreamcatcher, and Madagascar are rumoured to work for centre fullness, but mine are still in the mail.
Good luck!

helpfulThis looks like a really, really shallow cup design on this particular bra so you'd definitely need to size up in order to fit--if you really like this bra, that is.

helpfulDifferent brands fit differently and different models fit differently. You wont be the same size in every bra. You just have to keep trying.
