Bra fitting help » How many cup sizes up? Any style reccomendations?

Issue resolved
Bra shape as well as cup size was off, THANK YOU BRACRASTINATION!!!
Original problem
SERIOUS QUAD BOOB! I think it's pretty easy to decide that this is too small of a fit, especially since it is a 28E instead of a 30E, but I was wondering if anyone thought how many more cup sizes I should go up with this? Obviously stay away from 28 band sizes though! Also, bra styles? Should I go for Demis? Plunges? I am not a huge fan of full coverage, because I like wearing a little lower shirts, but I am done quadding, that is for sure.

helpfulGo up at least one cup size, better two. As someone in the same size range, I can tell that *this* amount of quadboob is due to the cup being *a lot* too small.
For the next fit check, please:
- loosen the straps. 90% of the support of a bra come from the band, not the straps. If you can comfortably fit 2 finger's breadth between the straps and your shoulders, it's perfect. The straps should not dig in.
- close the bra on the outermost (loosest) set of hooks, unless you *feel* that the band is too loose and shifts around while moving. The middle and 3rd hooks should be used later, when the bra band becomes wider and looses its elasticity. Both habits (overtightening the straps and using the innermost hooks first) are common because nearly all of us have been wearing ill-fitting bras for ages, but they are unneccessary when the band is tight enough.
In the photos, the band looks tight but should be okay (stretched band is still smaller than loose ribcage measurement.) Some bras run ridiculously loose and the too-small cups may interfere with band fit, so it's difficult to judge.
Even in the correct size, the shape may be off for other reasons, though. I never saw the Panache Melody fit proplerly on someone in our size range - it's just too deep, too narrow and too closed off the top. I'd recommend looking for different bra models altogether. Let me know if you need any recommendations!

Cleo Marcie is my favourite by far. Cleo Minnie Balconette is also fine (and it's based on the same cut, so it fits very similar).
There's plenty of others that work well for me - feel free to have a look at my profile if you're interested. :)
Glad I could help!

helpfulIn this bra, I think go up one cup volume in addition to adjusting the band size to your usual 30, and you should be good. So that would be a 30E.
I notice from the back shot photo that the band is riding up something fierce.. this is not what you'd expect in a 28 band on a 30-band person, bands usually ride up when they're too loose, not too tight! So I suspect you are overtightening the straps quite considerably (a common habit after a lifetime of wearing bras that aren't an optimal size). Definitely remember to readjust the straps until they are ONLY tight enough to not fall off your shoulders. This will also give you a more accurate view of the cup fit and of your own shape--overtightening can throw everything off.

helpfulif the band is too tight, it can flatten out the cups. You might try it with an extender first to see if the cups fit better. and also try loosening the straps to see if that helps. But i dont think more than one size. There are not many good measurements in that range, but a 30F is 9.5 depth, which is bigger than any of your perimeter measurements

Since it sounds like you have been through my struggles, may I ask what your favorite bra is? Maybe I could try it from amazon or something! :)
