Bra fitting help » Gore too tall/wide.
Freya » Hero Side Support Plunge Bra (1841) » 28F 28:7
Issue resolved
Gathered ideas as to which additional styles will provide a more comfortable fit. Thanks ladies!
Original problem
I feel like I keep getting closer to a good fit, but EVERY bra I try seems to have at least one problem area. It's so disheartening. For the Hero here, the problem zone is the gore height/width. The fit everywhere else is good, though the wires are a bit firm and uncomfy.
I've made one other fit request (in early December) and tried to sale suggestions to heart, but the magical Marcie was not for me (the 28F was a good width, but had wrinkling near the top of the cup).
I'm thinking I need to go Polish, but it's SO daunting to try and order! From sizing to style...Sigh.
Thanks in advance for your help, ladies!

helpfulAlthough Comexim will overlap a gore, the gore remains .7" wide when overlapped.. Ewa Michalak wire channels are a bit thinner and often measure .6". Sometimes they even overlap, by that is just luck (or not) rather than an ordering option The M and 3D models have the lowest gores followed closely by the PL.
Domestic Amazon.com options that may help: Curvy Kate Florence, Belle, Ellace, Daydreamer. These gores will be .8" wide, but these styles have better center projection (near the gore) and may give you more center space. I have to alter them because despite the better center projection, they are still too wide. Hopefully, better center projection will be your remedy And, you may require a band alteration. Easy, but an alteration.
Personally, in 260+ bras, I've not yet found a narrow enough gore in the size I require.. So, I'm forced to alter the gore which can fundamentally change the shape of the cup. But, it is an easy alternation, too. Interestingly, it opens the top of the cup. Perhaps narrowing the gore would help with this Freya
Good luck!!

helpfulGeneral rules for ordering Polish:
Comexim especially, but sometimes Ewa Michalak, bands run small. So I'd advise starting with 65s and trying 60s only if you prefer really tight bands. I love tight bands and order my equivalent from EM and use an extender on occaision, but I still need a band up for Comexim.
Cup sizes in most Polish brands are done at 2 cm intervals not the UK/US standard of 1 inch (2.5 cm). So most people need to cup up in your letter range.
Ewa Michalak's website ordering in completely in English and pretty easy to use, however, their bras are notorious for wide set straps. I have narrow shoulders and literally cannot wear my best fitting bra for more than a couple hours without feeling like it has cut my arms off. This is particularly an issue in the smaller band sizes and steams from a philosophical difference in bra sizing (for more info, google "strapgate"). If you do not find this an issue, you may find EM perfect. They have a variety of styles and most people can find something, except the really wide and shallow.
Comexim is famous for providing custom alterations for free. Bras are then unreturnable, but most sizes sell here better than other brands. Frequent alterations are: straps moved in, changing a plunge to a three part half cup or vise versa, raising or lowering the gore, cup height, or wing height, overlapping the gore, reducing cup depths, and making regular bands longines and longines regular bands. Their website is in English, but very limited. Their email turnover time is variable and limited by language. You might be better going through one of the North American agents (Bra Obsessed, Zanthya, or Wellfitting) as they can help with sizing, alterations, and usually accept returns on altered bras. Comexim is limited however in styles in that they have very few unpadded bras and really only sell Plunges and Half cups (two or three part) with an occaisional balconny. Plus, their wires tend to be uniformly narrower and so don't work for wider root, unless they can cup up and reduce the depth.
As to other Polish brands - there is less data, but I am on a crusade to popularize them!
Impimi - great website, new company, really eager! Will do customizations. I have found their bands looser than other Polish brands - more like UK standards, and they seem to cup in 2.5 cms/1 inch, so try with your direct equivallent. They seem to fit more FoT shapes (Kler in particular, but I altered mine for a great fit), but we really don't have enough info yet!
Gorsenia - sizing again seems to correspond to UK/US. They have TONNES of beautiful unpadded models, but they don't usually come sub-30 and, as the bands are looser, probably no good.
Nessa - same again
Gaia (my new favourite), and Ava - only have 65s, but I find them tighter bands and need an extender to close my equivalent in most models. I find their cups usually equate to UK/US, but I do have to cup up in Gaia about half the time. They are cheaper than Comexim and EM, and have a broader range of styles (especially semi-padded), but they are more of a gamble in that there is not as much info on them. I buy through Other Eden which has a domestic returns address which cuts down on the return costs significantly!
Kris Line- Makes 60s! But, can be a bit more expensive and harder to find. They definitely size weird! Their bands are usually comparable to UK/US, but their cups really are 2 cm. I have to go up one to two cups at a index 10, but you should probably be ok with up one. I find that they are less immediately projected than other Polish brands, but I have only tried a limited selection. Their semi-padded are very different as well, but I never wear them so I can't comment.
Avocado - Their website is English and decently navigable. Again, they make 60s and tend to be comparable bandwise to UK/US. They are also a little more expensive and their sizing is 2 cm and comparable to Comexim and EM. Their styles are totally non-traditional, though. They are moving from an older set of styles to a newer set. The older styles are A, H, and K are explained by Miss Underpinnings in the link below, though only A and K are still available. comicsgirlsneedbras does a nice comparison of the new styles NF and RV. And the HC/HCT is a half cup. I find their wires too soft, personally, but that can be apositive for many.

I hope this isn't TMI, and might be helpful. There are lots of other great brands, but these are the easiest to access. Good luck and keep at it!

helpfulSo I was looking for listings that have similar measurements to this bra but might have more forgiving top cups/gores. This is what I came up with:
http://www.bratabase.com/listings/difj9/
http://www.bratabase.com/listings/dih2h/
http://www.bratabase.com/listings/dlumz/Another bra you could try, although it might be too short everywhere, is the Curvy Kate Princess Plunge, which has a very low gore and an open top. It's easy to get on Amazon or via Curvy Kate itself in the UK.
Because you are functionally full on top because you have tall roots, look for bras with stretch lace tops or more open tops. Because you are so close set at top, you will probably want lower gores/softer wires.
Of the wires I have tried, Panache makes the hardest wires and Comexim makes the softest. Curvy Kate and Ewa Michalak are fairly firm in the middle.
Somehow I think an Ewa Michalak plunge might be right for you, but I could be wrong. I think the actual PL style, not the M, as I think you need taller cups for more coverage on your taller roots.
Happy hunting!
