Issue resolved
Will be returning this bra and sizing down after helpful suggestions re: sizing of the next cup size down
Original problem
Hi all, first post so please let me know if you need more info.
This bra is a 80G plunge from comexim. I seem to have got the sizing all wrong but I'm not sure where to go with it. For reference, I used their calculator as a starting point and then sized down the band by 1 and sized up the cup by 1.
The band seems fine and the width of the cups etc is also OK, gore tacks and it comfy enough. But I've got lots of gaping at the top of the cup. I've tried to adjust the straps and that helped a little bit I just done seem to be getting the nice rounded shape I was hoping for on top. I'm assuming everything got the cup size too big but I'm not sure by how many cups. I've bought 3 bras in the same size, 2 this style and 1 that's a plunge, the true plunge bra is the worst fit with the most gaping so that one has definitely got to go back but I'm not sure on this. I'm wondering if this is a case "this is as good as I'll get" or if it's worth trying to downsize a bit or if I'm just actually miles off lol.
Thanks in advance for any help x

helpfulHow does the bottom of the cup fit along the underwire? Is it following your inframmamary fold all the way around? Do you fill the rest of the cup out except for the upper edges? I'm not always a great judge TBH, but I wonder if the cups are just too tall for you? You could try to size down, but if the cups fit except for the top part, it could just be a cup height issue. I have this problem with Comexim plunges. Reducing the cup height was my solution (or buying the 3HC cut).

I read the comments down below also, and I saw the pictures you added. I definitely wouldn't size down, and if you think this size may fit okay, I'd wear it for a couple hours before you decide 100% (just to see how things settle). The cookie insert may indeed be all you need. If they do end up being too tall still, then stay with the same cup volume in a 3HC or a reduced plunge. Good luck!

helpfulComexim is actually always willing to customize the cups, and having cups shortened is a very common customization in larger cup sizes. Or they could be too big, its hard to see much.
Your pictures are pretty narrowly focused - it would be nice to see the whole breast in side view - tho padded and black bras are harder to see.
also - whats showign up in your laying perimeter looks wrong? its still only around 1 breast.

I've had a similar issue with some polish brands. Then if I go down a cup size, I'm basically falling out. At first I thought it was a root thing. I'm assuming you did a thorough scoop and swoop. It may be that you'd do better with a half cup instead of a plunge. You Nugent even be in the correct size. I'd compare some of the measurements of that style comexim here with your measurement and see if that could be the case. You could probably sell what doesn't fit here and find ones of that cut as well. I know there aren't a lot of measurements for that size (I wear an 80g in comexim too) so if there's anything I can do help, just let me know.

I've added some more pictures (have figured out how to use the timer lol). This was my first comexim order so I wanted to see how the basic cut was and needed a starting point.
I've also gone ahead and added the rest of my bras from comexim and ewa. Looking at my ewa bras vs these now, I'm second guessing and think these might be OK and 2 of the ewas a bit small, 1 OK and 1 I already knew was too big/tall. Somehow I managed to not notice the issues until I looked at photos (frankly I think I was just ecstatic to be in something that fit "better" than my old bras which were miles off).
After adjusting the straps a bit better, I actually think it's not too bad. A bit of gaping on my smaller side but I've ordered some inserts to try and even them out.
Also have fixed my laying down measurement, thanks for pointing that out!

Although I get a little bit of pointy boob shape side on, I'm guessing that's because I don't fill the top enough to get a nice rounded shape?

helpfulLooking at the measurements of the bras you have added that do fit, I think you can size down a cup. Ewa bras are generally taller than Comexims, and this Comexim has a depth of 10.2, whereas your fitting Granatowa Pantera has a depth of 9.4, the same as you laying breast perimeter. I think to get the round shape you need, you first should size down, which will reduce the height of the cup as well (in fact, the data in Bratabase suggests that the cup height of an 80F will be similar to your SF). Then, if the bra is still too tall you can get it taken down. But to get a more rounded shape having a little less room at the bottom will likely allow your breasts to mound up in the cups.

Thanks for the suggestions, I agree and will be sending these 3 back. Needed somewhere to start and now I've got it at least :)

helpfulYou know, looking at your added pictures, I kinda think it's just that the straps are too far apart. You can always order one with the straps moved in. As far as the roundedness you asked about, in my experience, that's just a polish thing. The projection they provide tends to produce a more pronounced pointed shape.

Hiya, thanks for the reply. It seems to fit well along the bottom and wire, it sits nicely in my fold all the way along (all 3 of the bras I got from comexim do). I've tightened up the straps a bit and that seems to help, I'm such a noob at this! I think you might be right about the cup height. I've got a 3hc style from ewa that is probably a little on the small side and I spent some time comparing today (apples and oranges I know).
I'm hesitant to go down a size as the wires seem good so will try a 3hc and see how that goes. It may well be that I'm just not used to the style. I do love how it pulls everything into the centre though!
