Issue resolved
All comments accurately addressed the fit issue--not enough depth and support. Thanks!
Original problem
I've never asked for fitting help, but I think it's finally time to bite the bullet and see if I can find out why this bra is causing me pain!
Everything seems pretty shipshape--occasionally there's bulging in the low front or out the side, or some empty space at the top, but adjustment seems to help. But I think my issue is with the straps; when I adjust them longer, it creates a lot of open space at the top of the cup, and they still pull heavily on my shoulders. The wires also seem intent on burrowing between my ribs.
I do have a super weak back, which I'm currently in physical therapy for--maybe it's not a super supportive shape. Is there anything obvious standing out to you lovely Bratabasers?
(I also have no idea what my shape is, aside from FoB, so maybe that's playing in!)

helpfulWendy is wise! (other comment) Its much harder to get a good fit from a foam dome bra like that. Bras with seams generally will fit better unless you are very shallow (which you are not). Also I get stabbed in the rib under the wires if the bra is too shallow because my boobs push it down trying to find some space.
Cleo Marcie is sometimes an easier fit (tho pretty FOT). But have you tried any other panache? I also had that problem with Envy, but Jasmine can be easy to fit - tho it sometimes looks pointy on true FOB breasts that are fairly shallow on top. You dont look that shallow on top to me, as much as maybe the cups are too tall - again, hard to get a projected enough shape in a molded bra, so they make it taller to make more volume instead of deeper - even tho your boobs need more depth instead of more height

I wonder if some half cups would work better? i'm afraid i'm very FOT (omega really) and dont know any FOB bras

hi, I am FOB and have same problem with moulded bras. I like moulded for under T shirts but just couldn't find one to fit. I have found Bravissimo Satine style is good for me as it has a bit of padding (for modesty) is a plunge, so it doesn't gap at top. It is not a T shirt bra and doesn't have a smooth cup as it has a seam across it but it gives more coverage and a smoother line under t shirt type tops than an un padded lace one. Hope this helps

A tshirt bra that might have enough depth is the Fantasie Rebecca. I love its plus size clone for tight shirts.

I'm glad this was posted! I don't have anything helpful to add, just a question of my own, I have this same bra but I'm FOT, it fits great but the underwire stabs my ribs to, just the left underwire digs. If a lay down its really painful. And as I don't overfill that side I'm puzzled..

Stabby underwires are a weird thing. i had one bra where the bottom of the wire poked a bad spot at the bottom of my rib cage, and i couldnt fix it. I have one now that only pokes on my smaller side, under my arm, but I can sometimes move the wire a bit forwards

Hopefully one day I'll find a bra that doesn't poke or fit weird! For now I'll just keep shifting it like you shift yours. I wonder, do I not have enough fat there or is it the bras fault?

I think we are all just shaped differently and no bra will be perfect. But really, most people get better fit with bras that have seams in the cups.

I've never tried a seamed bra, but now I think I'll look into one. Thanks!

helpfulI don't think it's all because of your weak back. I think the fact the straps are further apart than what would optimally fit your body, plus the fact that it's a bandless bra with almost no gore height, means the band doesn't support as much of the boob weight as you'd want, because it's basically just 2 underwires and a little string of band at the back. If you were to try a more matronly looking bra with a good full band and narrower-set straps, I bet you'd feel much less strain on the shoulders.

oh and the shape mismatch prob isn't helping an awful lot either. This is a wide shallow bra, and you aren't shallow in boob shape, so there is likely some empty space on your sides, meaning you lose even more support for the boob weight.

helpfulNo worries, Neve is kind of like a fit desaster and it barely fits anyone (even people with shallow boobs struggle with it).
I second dbmamaz recommendation for seamed bras in general, and would like to mention Cleo Kali Balconnet Bra (7561), which is Cleo's go-to bra to try out if one has a FoB shape.
If you're looking for a T-shirt bra for projected boobs, the Freya Deco Plunge line is probably worth a try.

You guys are AWESOME. This is so enlightening and I wish I had been brave enough to upload pictures before! ;u;
Most of the bras that fit me are seamed and unpadded (my favorites right now are a Panache Andorra UK 32GG, a Fantasie Abigail UK 32FF, and a mystery Debenhams UK 32G). All of them wrinkle across the top, which is why I think I'm FoB. All of them also show through clothes (bothers me to no end), hence my unfruitful search for something padded and seamless. I really like the smooth rounded shape but this is clearly not the place to find it. :)
