  I'd try Comexim. With close-set, wide breasts myself, my options are limited. Comexim will narrow both the upper and lower gore. Additionally, the half cup styles have a wider wire. You can also request more depth at the wire. Jaimie at Bra Obsessed is so helpful.

  Ewa Michalak can be worn by many women, but the wires are narrow and the gore base very wide.

  Perhaps Cleo Hettie or Skye but the gore may require an alteration. You may be fortunate and find enough space without an alteration.

  Are you center full and close set? Tango makes it look like you aren't center full, but I want to verify before I recommend any other models.

    I think I am fairly center full, some plunge bras like deco tend to make me fall out the center a bit. There is a picture of me in my deco if you want to see.

  • I have always been confused about what wider wire and depth at the wire means, can you enlighten me? I know some bras end up with cups in my armpits which is super uncomfortable. I tried a CK smoothie recently in 28h which did that. Can wider wire cause that?

    The wider wire encompasses underarm breast tissue. Mine, for instance, is shallow under my arm, but will not be ignored (protests loudly if a wire is too shallow).

    Depth at the wire is most often calked "immediate projection." If you find wrinkles in your cups just above the wire, your breasts are often searching for more space; pushing the bra down. Insufficient center projection can do this, too.

    If wires often poke your armpits, Curvy Kate may be a good, readily available option. Here are their most center projected models: http://bra.pe/LFay/ Although Ellace is not on the list, it is as center projected, to me, as the others. Cascade, to me, had the least immediate projection.

    What does it mean when it feels like the side of the cup is way in your armpit, not just the bra. That has happened occasionally, recently it was very bad when I tried on the CK smoothie.

  • Yes, I am short waisted. Do you find there are certain things to avoid/ look for in bras for short waisted women? I also have both side and front rib flares. That makes me leery to try longline bras.

  • Shorter wing height is what I looked for. But, I'm so short-waisted, there is not a short enough wing height in my size. I gave up and just wear wireless bras.

    However, wires can be shortened, swapped, or special wires can be purchased. Still, I did not find a wide enough, short enough, center full and close set enough bra. Hopefully, you will have better luck!!!!

  • veggiechic Counterintuitively, long line bras are more comfortable for me. The wider a band, the more evenly the pressure is distributed. So, you *may* find long lines comfortable, too. Best wishes!!
